Miss Cornelia Snook
At last I am having (TMI) a bit of bloody show and feeling some crampy contractions. I've been bouncing on my ball and doing squats, in between cleaning the house. Any other ideas for getting this show really on the road? A walk? My water hasn't broken yet. I don't expect that to happen for a while. Really hoping to get this baby here before midnight. Thanks!
meggie
Walk, walk, walk and walk some more. :001_smile: Good luck!

Belacqua
Cilantro. And that other thing. :)
TheReader
I have heard not to do castor oil, b/c it can "work" on the baby too and baby can ingest some of the meconium. (sp? first poop). But, if your spouse/significant other is available, intimate time would kick things up a notch.

It took an hour and 1/2 with my daughter after they broke my water.
AlisonK
I wouldn't suggest castor oil either. I did it and had a very bad experience. All the other suggestions sound great. With one of my children I went for acupuncture to start labor and that worked also.

Plan something big, fancy, or time consuming that you don't want to change for the evening. That'll do it. :)
itsheresomewhere
Green tea is also good for contractions. OB has it on her list to help evict the baby when they want to stay;). Walk or vacuum.
joyfulhomeschooler
Cilantro. And that other thing. :) Really??? Never heard this one. Vacuuming usually does it for me. But then I am on the opposite end trying to keep baby in as long as possible.
Reflections
Scrub the bathroom with an **old** toothbrush. Worked for me when I didn't want it to.
staceyobu
Funny that people mention vacuuming. I vacuumed the whole house the day I finally went into labor. Of course, I'd vacuumed the week before and nothing happened!

besroma
Time with DH......fry eggs in castor oil......Evening Primrose oil capsules.
Lab1
Make freezer meals all day. A months worth should do it. Vacuum or mop. The motion can induce labor. Its one of the things I was forbidden to do when I dilated way too early with preterm, 20 weeks along, labor.
thessa516
I hope one of the suggestions worked. :D
KidsHappen
Yes, remember what got you in this condition? It's also great for getting out of that condition.
