I have a bit of wanderlust and the Middle East fascinates me. We are looking at Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai as possibilities. I am homeschooling. DH teaches 4th grade at an International school. Qatar is a little more conservative than UAE but making progress all the time. Have you looked at Oman? Not sure about what teachers get paid, but in discussions about comparisons between countries in the region I never heard it rated anything but top of the list.
