Lady_Dulcinea
Something about a rainy day means brownies to me. Must be the 'sad' feeling. I'm headed to the kitchen now to make some! Here is the recipe I'm using - care to share yours? http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Brookes-Best-Bombshell-Brownies/Detail.aspx
Crissy
No. I tend to make rich soups or something with a big side of mashed potatoes when it's cold and rainy. Gee. Given the number of rainy days here, that might explain this weight gain.:001_huh:
Sarah in FL
Even though we live in sunny Florida with very few rainy days, we still find many reasons to make brownies!:tongue_smilie:
Liza Q
I usually use the recipe on the Bakers Chocolate box - http://www.kraftfoods.com/BakersChocolate/main.aspx?s=recipe&m=recipe/knet_recipe_display&Rpage=3&u1=keyword&u2=brownies&u3=**45*71&wf=9&recipe_id=54515 but your looks outrageously good! I must not bake brownies.....I must not....
KidsHappen
I guess because when I was young my mom always did that and I would come home from school to find the kitchen windows all fogged up. I don't know why but that always seemed homey to me.
JESSICAinMD
I just baked a chocolate cake but I cheated and used the box mix. :)
3lilreds in NC
Well, no, but then I never have an urge to bake, LOL. My grandma always used to say that the best day to bake bread was a rainy one - not a sunny one. Maybe your brownies are especially good when baked on a rainy day. :D
Krista in LA
No, but now that you mentioned making brownies, I'm feeling the urge to make some. The power of suggestion..... and it isn't raining here either.
OnTheBrink
It's rainy and chilly, I'm PMSing and suspect I'm in perimenopause, OH YEAH, I can find a reason to make brownies!
Mrs. Readsalot
Doesn't take much to talk me into something does it.
Michelle in MO
some this morning, and it was raining! Maybe it triggered something in my subconscious??? I have great recipes, but never use them. I just use a brownie mix and add Ande's mint chip pieces or chocolate chips, and then frost them. They're still great to eat! :)
Guest Virginia Dawn
It's raining. I have a ham bone simmering on the stove to make bean soup. I don't need brownies. I don't need brownies. I don't need brownies. I don't need brownies. help.
Ravin
It rains so seldom here that I haven't noticed any patterns. DD usually wants to get an umbrella and/or her swimsuit and go outside. DH LOVES rainy/stormy weather. Last time it rained we were at Estrella war and the camp site was awash in mud. It made me want to volunteer some more at nice, warm, dry Chirurgeon's point (first aid station). It's been long enough that we'll probably make an offering of thanks next time it actually rains. nancypants
It's rainy/snowy here today too. I think I'm going to make magic cookie bars.

Andie
I just baked a Texas Sheet Cake. Gah. This will be challenging. I've not baked much since I started dieting, but the kids wanted something and I do love baking. So. They better eat it up quick.
Mrs. Readsalot
and do they smell good. Diet what diet?
Mabelen
I also know why! It is all those years living in England. Now, every time it gets cloudy and rainy I automatically head to the kitchen to turn on the kettle... Funny how the mind works!
4arrows
Ummmmmmm.....those look GOOD!!! Rainy days tend to make me think about making soup and homemade bread (so do snow days).
