m0mmaBuck
I know my 4yo DD would enjoy it but I'm wondering if I should look for another movie for him.
Ravin
Why wouldn't he enjoy it? From the previews it looks like there's plenty of action. I'd take an 8yo boy to see it.
m0mmaBuck
Why wouldn't he enjoy it? From the previews it looks like there's plenty of action. I'd take an 8yo boy to see it. Well, he hasn't been much for the other Disney "princess" type movies like "Snow White," "The Little Mermaid," "The Princess and the Frog" (neither of my kids liked that one), and so on. The only two he will stay in the room for are "Beauty and the Beast" and "Sleeping Beauty."
ChristusG
I think he will enjoy it. This movie isn't quite as "princessy" as the others. There's lots of action and Rapunzel is not the typical girlie girl...she's tough!
Imprimis
Yes, there's certainly action aplenty in Tangled. I took my younger daughter to see it yesterday and saw many boys in the theater. I think even my 12 yo son would like it, and he's definitely not a princess-y type of movie guy ;) Fun movie!
justasque
Apparently Disney made a specific attempt to make Tangled more boy-friendly.
HollyDay
Dh liked it!!! It is more Rapunzel meets Robin Hood than a traditional princess story. The bar thugs are great. They remind me of the vikings from that credit card commercial "what's in your wallet". Your ds should also really like Maximus the horse! Any horse that can sword fight should be alright with most 8 yr old boys....
m0mmaBuck
Thanks everyone! It sounds like we will be taking a "field trip" next week. :)
Mom in High Heels
Indy (8) is dying to see this movie! We've seen previews and commercials and it looks great. I don't see why your son wouldn't enjoy it. I think Disney is making a real effort to make movies that appeal to both boys and girls. sagira
Oh yes. It's fun, action-packed. I recommend it highly.

rwjx2khsmj
Took ds8 to see it today and he gave it two thumbs WAY UP! We all really enjoyed Tangled and we didn't even shell out the extra $$ for 3D.

amy g.
I told Miss Bossy that I'd take her to see it when Dh takes the big kids to see Harry Potter. She is pretty excited, and was telling Mr. Clever. He asked her what the movie was about and she said, "I don't actually know anything about it except that it is really funny and COMPLETELY age appropriate." Guest Cindie2dds
I was pleasantly surprised! I took my youngest to go see it this afternoon, and was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was a great, all-around family movie. Nothing too scary or questionable. Loved it!!
Forget-Me-Not
My 7.5 yo son and 5.5 yo daughter loved it. Actually the whole family (except the squirrely 2 yo) enjoyed it.
