This picture is wild because this mountain is HUGE and you can only see the bottom of it. The rest is in white out conditions above.

I love this last pic. That is a Christmas card in itself. You guys are lucky, not if you have to go somewhere, but otherwise looks like bliss.

Oh, my goodness, you can have some of ours! We have well over two feet and it still hasn't stopped. Everything is at a complete standstill -- not a single car has driven down our street all day.

 

There's no chance of it going away anytime soon, either. Temperatures aren't going much above freezing for at least the next 10 days.

That is craaaazy!!!!!

It's the only place to go sledding where you don't drop directly INTO the water. There's a lake behind Mom's house at the base of a super steep hill. When we were kids, once the lake froze we'd make an ice track (the only other time I remember this much snow was 95') and "sled" down the icy hill and shoot out onto the lake. We relied on the fact that the water was shallow to justify the risk of falling through :p
