Speaking of housekeeping...

Recommended Posts

Go put away five things that aren't where they belong, then come back and tell us what you did. Or do five short cleaning chores and come tell us what you cleaned.

Then you can do it again, and post again, and do it again...

If we all do something, we'll feel better. A little bit, anyway.

I took a load of laundry to the laundry room.

Started a load of laundry.

Wiped down the bathtub.

Carried some dishes downstairs.

Picked up all the things the kitten has knocked off my desk, again.

Feed the cats, the dog and the fish.

Changed the cat litter.

Wow! I really don't have much to do as I have been really busy the last few days. Everything is currently picked up, put away and pretty tidy. I am even caught up on money, bills, filing, and paperwork. :001_huh: What I have left involves moving furniture, packing items away, deep cleaning or painting. These are longer term projects that are happening little by little. Oh, and I still have to do grades and attendence for this past year and register and plan for next year. That can wait until the end of the month. :001_smile:

Put away microscope, out from HS group here this am

Put 2 library books in basket to return

Retrieved driving glasses and car keys from bathroom floor (don't ask!) and put in basket.

Evicted cat from rabbit hutch. Don't worry, rabbit is safe in her outside run.

Put the science kit away

Folded beach towels and put them in the basket

Helped my dd straighten her room

Conditioned our leather furniture with my ds 12 and had fun working together

Helped ds 12 straighten the DVD and CD drawer

Then we all went the the community center for a swim!

That was productive - will try 5 more tomorrow

Great post. It helped motivate me to get up and going on some things I keep overlooking.

1. Moved dh's stuff off the table and cleaned it so we can all eat together!

2. Got laundry from dryer/put next load in.

3. Cleaned up some clutter in the dining area.

4. Carried a box of stuff for dd to her room so she can unpack it.

5. Put dd's foam art project from a few weeks ago on her bedroom door.

Go put away five things that aren't where they belong, then come back and tell us what you did.

Baby steps for me:

cup that was on the counter to the sink

bread slicer/guide thingy to cupboard

piece of paper to recycle bin

taco sauce packet to cupboard

strange wrench thingy (came with a bike) to tool cupboard

Off to do more... :)

2. Got dd 1 to make her bed.

3. Started dinner

4. Brought toilet paper to bathroom and envelope box upstairs.

5. Cancelled old car insurance (this was NOT quick).
