  1. What masks do your husbands like? I have made some I like. Dd found some from Plato's Closet that she likes. Dh has disliked almost all of the ones we have. He wears them, but he has not found his mask-happy-place. He has hearing aids and glasses.
  2. I am apple-shaped and these are my favorites for working out: Duluth Trading Company: Women's Hellrassiere High Impact Work Bra. Fantastic for every day wear and working out. Keeps the girls nice and high and doesn't hurt while doing it. I'm in love. You might want to get the size you think you are by the size chart and then also get the next size up, and keep the one that works. Worth it. I have three and will buy more. I live in South Texas, and no stink! https://www.duluthtrading.com/womens-hellrassiere-high-impact-work-bra-33732.html?dwvar_33732_color=VOC&cgid=womens-underwear-bras#start=5&cgid=womens-underwear-bras LL Bean: I know it's weird but I love to work out in these, and they are good for every day wear, and you can also wear them in the pool: Women's Vista Camp Pants, Cropped. I just got my second pair since I now work out two days a week. Elastic waist. Flattering for apple shape. Sensory issue: They are mostly nylon so if that bothers you, that might be the only thing that's a downside. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/120731?page=womens-vista-camp-pant-crop-misses&bc=12-27-622-516133&feat=516133-GN3&csp=a&pos=2
  3. I wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't judge others for doing it. It's not part of our family culture at all, plus we have delicate, highly reactive skin.
  4. So I have two pairs of sneakers. One is Ryka, for Zumba, because I kept getting caught on the running shoe soles which stick out. I was doing dance moves like grapevine and whatnot. Ryka is recommended for zumba, and their sole is within the footprint of the shoe, plus they have this circuluar swirly tread, which I assume helps with turns. I like them a lot. I believe they are technically called "Cross-training shoes." They seem to have good support. I only walk in my running shoes. I never ever run. They seem to work great. I use Asics right now. My family likes Mizumo.
  5. Horrible Histories videos are pretty awesome. Maybe that would work better than the books.
  6. I think outside would be best. Do you have one of those canopy tents that is only the roof and no sides? Then you could do Adirondack chairs with blankets and project the movie on a sheet or the house or something. Air flow all around. That would only work if you had all that stuff, though.
  7. A bite to the face? I'm not sure that's something you just get over. I would not get a dog. Maybe a bunny or a hamster or something like that?
  8. Christmas Favorites: Charlie Brown Christmas DVD, A Merry Mancini Christmas CD, Fast food on Christmas Eve, Church Service on Christmas Eve. Mary Engelbreit did a beautiful picture book of A Night Before Christmas. We also love our Christmas countdown felt calendar. Duraflame Gold in the fireplace. Sometimes we travel to Six Flags Holiday in the Park. Sometimes there are lighted boat parades locally. And of course, driving around looking at christmas lights and drinking cocoa in the car.
  9. Pretty good. A lot fewer trick or treaters than normal, but we still got about 50. The weather was beautiful outside. We put the candy in bags on a table in our driveway and sat way back. LOTS of trunk or treats locally as an alternative. Lots of people just not participating also. College Dd went to a Halloween party. They carved pumpkins, mostly. Lots of masking.
  10. Yo Millard Fillmore. https://www.amazon.com/Millard-Fillmore-those-other-Presidents/dp/1632260808/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=memorize+the+presidents&qid=1604091401&sr=8-1
  11. Our local community college offers an Associates in helicopter repair ("Aviation Maintenance Power Plant Applied Technology"), which feeds into our local Army Depot/Naval Air Station whose mission is helicopter repair. Would he be interested in something like that? The pay is pretty good, and being a federal job means you can advance to other federal jobs fairly easily, if the physical labor becomes too hard. I guess I would look at your local community college and see what looks interesting to him.
  12. From an anger management google search, it reminded me of stuff that works for me: Control your first reaction. Leave the place or situation. Expend your energy in some other way (I have found scrubbing the tub vigorously to help or Tae-Bo. Remember Tae-Bo?) Just walking into another room and doing some vigorous exercise helps. Anger triggers a physical response, and you have to let it out. Much better to do something productive with those excess feelings than yell at your kids. ((hugs))
  13. I have a degree in Math, and I really like MUS. My dd is a big picture thinker, and Mr. Demme is GREAT at that part. We switched to MUS in high school, starting with Algebra and used it through PreCal. Probably should have switched earlier, but oh well. Live and learn.
  14. I'm not sure. I don't watch a lot of network tv. I would kind of like to see the characters from Bob's Burgers living out their lives in masks. That has many comic possibilities. I don't watch dramas, and would not want a covid story line if I did.
  15. I didn't give pluses or minuses. If it was 90-100, it was an A. 80-89 B and so on. For GPA purposes: A = 4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0.
  16. I haven't. I won't. I'm not the mask police. I definitely won't patronize somewhere I don't feel safe. However, masking is going pretty well here due to a mandate.
  17. Yes. Take it from someone who once purchased a cheap faucet. It will break within a couple of years, and you will replace it. Buy the Moen or Delta. Edited to add: Ooh, twice actually.
  18. Do you mean you want to use the "original" (or nearly so) scrolls that were used, or do you mean you just want, like, Genesis published in its own book? Each book of the Bible usually says "attributed to" in an introduction or something, and I believe there's much debate over who wrote each book specifically, so I'm not sure you're going to find that. MLA has rules for citing Biblical sources, but the Works Cited needs to include which version of the Bible you're using. I think you can get a look at the Dead Sea Scrolls somewhere online. I'm sorry. That's probably not helpful. Interesting topic, though!
