  1. Update: pain still here. It keeps moving around different spots in my torso. Yesterday it was just under my rib cage, today it's back down in my left abdomen. I told a friend who's a nurse last night at church, and she immediately said gall bladder. So I'm going back to try and find a regular dr (not walk-in clinic) tomorrow to have that checked out.
  2. Okay, urinalysis and blood work were fine, so at least we've ruled out the things that would require immediate attention, like appendicitis or something. I declined an ultrasound until after holidays because even if it is an ovarian cyst (a likely suspect since I have PCOS), there's nothing to be done for it anyway. And now that I wasted the morning in a Petri dish, of course the pain is mostly gone!
  3. At walk-in clinic now, hoping I don't catch something worse. Lots of OnGuard and hand sanitizer. Thankful for my mom on hand to watch kids. Pain is no worse but no better, even after taking 2 Aleve at midnight.
  4. No actual dizziness, though I was pretty weak after pushing a grocery cart around this morning. The severity of the pain has lessened tonight, but it still won't go away.
  5. I've had persistent dull abdominal pain for over 48 hours. It feels like the beginning of menstrual cramps, but that's not it. There is occasional more concentrated pain on the left side of my abdomen, so ovulation pain was my first assumption, but I've never had it go on this long. Do I need to try and find a dr tomorrow? The pain is just enough to make me feel like I can't do anything, I almost got woozy while grocery shopping this morning.
  6. MI-5 Person of Interest Army Wives (might not work for you since you're pacifist, but I promise it's more soap than army) Hart of Dixie
  7. Can anyone tell me the best place to order a weighted blanket?
  8. I'm glad it's going well. It sounds like you've found something really wonderful for your dd.
  9. A Beka is working well for my middle child who was too frustrated by Singapore.
  10. That's pretty much how our pastor explained it this morning.
  11. I did, and now I'm stuck with a really nice house in a place I don't want to live, but because I'm 5 minutes over the line in the wrong school district, selling will be nearly impossible without losing a lot of money (I bought before the crash). The market has come back in the county 5 minutes away, but not here where the schools are worse.
  12. Obviously you have an 8th grader with a really good foundation! If your daughter's social needs are being met, and if you can afford it, on-line classes would appear to be a great solution to your problem. There are so many great options! You could outsource every class and get top-notch instruction for her.
  13. See? Some of the other kids give awesome, legendary gifts! Then I look bad. There's no way I could pull off the above for 17 people!
