She wrote this on our break, it wasn't an assignment, just for fun. I'm looking for places to publish her poems/stories/ any ideas? - she amazes me : ) Our Beach Jillian C. age 13 Dipping, dashing, splishing, splashing Rolling waves across the sand, Shimmer, glimmer The dolphins surf with the awesome surfer man. Pitter, patter, seagulls scuttle, Looking for crunchy crabs; Twittering little shorebirds gaze over silken skies. Warted old wizened walrus clap flippers and utter cries, Fishes bubble, whales spout, Dolphins jump, and crabs have doubts, The seagulls peck, the walrus puckers, Wave still roll across the sand; Rough and rocky shores of stone grate together far away, But this is the place all call home, Together with the constant waves.

Dh would love it, but only if they could be taken by a blind photographer : ) As for me, I would probably fall into a fit of laughter, so I guess the photographer would have to be blind and deaf.... Personal home photos would be/are my/dh's preference -even though they are not exactly as perfectly flattering as the pros

Oh my gosh - I must have misread that, she said she would drown her dc??? That is scary, especially in light of what has happened in the past. Yikes!

Ran 5 this morning, it was pretty, but I was feeling a bit sluggish : (

It always amazes me how people will say right in front of their children, that they could never homeschool - and go on to state - they would go crazy having to spend so much time with their dc, etc. Although drowning oneself in the bathtub is a bit explicit! I normally don't respond, but I usually take it as an injunction against them and not homeschooling, whether they mean it that way or not. :001_smile:

Our change of seasons means dds stop wearing their bikinis to school in and actually wear ****** CLOTHES!******* You'd think I put thumb screws on them - the torture. We've compromised right now, with bikini tops and shorts.. :001_smile:
