  1. I find that when I go out for a run, my mind takes a break and I can get fresh perspective - Added benefit - I feel better physically
  2. I love my Suburban, but we are downsizing soon because of gas prices
  3. we are in the same boat - first time and also as a freshman - only my youngest really wanted to go in as well as a 7th grader - so the homeschool strings will be completely cut. I too am excited and nervous at the same time. It is so nice to know there are others going through this at the same time - hopefully we can help each other out during the harder times
  4. It is a leap of faith isn't it- sigh .... We made the decision in May, but I don't think it will really sink in until that first day. My oldest will be entering as a freshman and the youngest decided to go to ps as well. I am excited, but sad at the same time.
  5. I really am glad so many of you responded to this thread. We are starting this adventure, but I am waking up with panic attacks at the thought of it. Much prayer and discussion went into this decision, but I will miss them soooo much
  6. it is expensive ($125) but at $10 a day without it - it is worth it for us
  7. We are beginning that adventure in the fall after nine years of only hsing. I'd love to know who else has dc in ps thanks:001_smile: Thought I'd add some info on us both dds entering ps for the first time 7th & 9th
  8. Personally no. Especially if I knew my other three dc could possibly be without a mother - that would definitely make the risk too high
  9. You did awesome - you were honest and tempered it with grace :)
  10. Brindee - that is alot going on, wow : ) the Christian boarding school sounds exciting, especially the month of missions - I'd love to learn how it goes this year
  11. It started with an email she sent me telling me she loved me. I then turned it into a story by using Yahoo's "Once upon a time..." stationary and we have been emailing back and forth adding a little bit to the story each time... (yes, we live in the same house - but she is 12 and doesn't have very many people to email so she emails me : ) Anyway it worked so well - I started a different story with my 14yo
  12. Here's prayers for deeper pockets of the good stuff :001_smile:
  13. Really?? Is that true...This is an epiphany for me - is everyone really scared. I'm not being sarcastic, everyone seems for the most part so confident and put together.... thanks that helps
  14. Thanks Tami - this really helps alot, I'm going to save this thread for those moments I'm socially paralyzed. I'm private and reserved as well - I like that you said you are being "very real" I need to do just that and focus on meeting others needs - not my own - sigh, so much work to do.... But God is able : ).
