  1. My ds is 11 and loves to draw. He would like something that would show him how. Anyone have any thoughts? I haven't looked at art curriculum and don't know where to start. Thanks!
  2. Have you looked at Junior Analytical Grammar? Just one more to throw out there.
  3. Thanks Stacey! I got the books Saturday. Very quick!

  4. My 11 ds loves reading it. He reads a chapter or two a day. Loves the book.
  5. Walking the battery and looking at the homes and the gardens. The battery park is a good size for your younger kiddos to run around. Depending on how warm the weather you can go to waterfront park. There is a large fountain to play in and swings on the dock. Sometimes there are dolphins in the harbor and you can watch while swinging. The market is interesting to walk through. If you guys want to do lunch Hyman's Seafood is good. It's on Market Street.
  6. We used- __________ the mouse box. If it makes sense then it's a preposition. And then the mneumonic BUT AL DOES for the irregular ones. This is listed in JAG.
  7. I'm sorry! But it's nice to put a face with you now!
  8. Sharon, You should be able to right click on the picture and copy and paste the link to upload to your avatar. If it's the same pic on your profile. I just copy and pasted it here.
  9. Didn't look back that far. We were in transit last year at that time. Thanks Peek.
  10. I have gotten several e-mails about this from our local group. I haven't seen any mention of it here. Just wondering what the collective thought of this. Today the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) is approaching a possible ratification by the United States Senate. This treaty, as harmless as it may appear, is capable of attacking the very core of the child-parent relationship, removing parents from their central role in the growth and development of a child, and replacing them with the long arm of government supervision within the home. This is from Parentalrights.org
  11. Mortgages may have been 'pushed' upon some consumers. Those consumers also have the responsibilty to accept responsibilty for their own actions.
  12. Thank you all very much! This should get her going. She literally pulled her out yesterday! Heather
  13. My sister-in-law has pulled her daughter out of school. I would love any info on homeschool groups or contacts in that area. She really needs info! Currently they are on base at Ft. Carson. Thanks!
  14. You could also go with the Pathway Reader's. Very inexpensive and the workbooks are a couple dollars.
