  1. Why not paint it black and sand around the edges for a distressed look? Or even a cream color. Is there a way to take the cabinet out completely and make a faux range hood. They have tin/ copper panels and you could build the frame. Just some thoughts.
  2. Bought it, never used it, have it for sale.
  3. I have some white from either Wal-Mart or Target. My special occasion is depression glass, which seldom makes an appearance.
  4. I have always equated my in-laws to the Cleaver's and my family to the Adam's family. My parents are waay too much like Morticia (?), and Gomez. Makes for interesting family gatherings.

  7. My brother is over there now in the thick of it. He has had several missions that are down right scary. There are several young men in his unit that have zero support from home, no letters, no one to send basic supplies since there is no place available to shop. His unit is in need of supplies, there are young men who need a word of encouragement and support. They are being shot at on a daily basis. I support my brother and his unit. As for the holiday's, there is a whole new perspective for us since he has been in Iraq. We just want him home in one piece.
  8. I made this last night after hearing how great it is. Followed the directions and it is kinda soft, not crunchy. What did I do wrong? I boiled it until it was all nice and bubbly, I really wanted to like this stuff.
  9. In our old neighborhood we "BOO'd" people on Halloween. But I don't think this neighborhood would pass it along.
  10. If you or your dh are up to it, you can make a bow for less than 10$, and purchase arrows. My father made my kids bows from pvc, electrical tape, and some twine. The kids painted them. They are the youth arrows. My blog link with bow pics. Something else to think about!
  11. And I already feel like Scrooge, Ba Humbug! :leaving:
