  1. You've said other things in the past that send up red flags of concern. I may be mixing up posters, but I thought you were preparing to separate at one point? At any rate, I hope YOU are safe and okay. You shouldn't bear the brunt any more than your DD. You're important and worthy too. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  2. Is your degree in an area that would have jobs qualifying for loan repayment?
  3. I'd call. That could be an allergic reaction. Are you taking Kefir or any probiotics? Watch for yeast in you and thrush in the baby. Thrush hurts like the dickens. Mastitis sucks. I had it a few times with my oldest, but lecithin worked to keep it at bay. Feel better. :grouphug:
  4. I agree with the first part, but I don't think it matters if she's flying solo with her eyeliner look. :)
  5. This reminds me of a Momastery post I read last night. "Trashy" isn't quite on par with the language referenced in the article, but it's not an okay descriptor of women. WARNING: contains profanity --used toward the female author-- and triggering language http://momastery.com/blog/2016/06/22/quit-hating-her/
  6. On another issue, maybe. But I would make a stand on the issue that a woman's physical appearance (eyeliner!!! she's not going out in a bustier and crotchless drawers) can be judged by a man as trashy and warrants her changing it just to make him happy even though his attitude is in the wrong here.
  7. Would she listen to a dermatologist more than mom? That would be worth the copay.
  8. I wouldn't support him on it either. Eyeliner and makeup isn't "trashy." What exactly IS his definition of trashy? My guess is that this goes a whole lot deeper and no way would I wade in that with him or agree with him.
  9. Even if the kid had been using the point of the pencil... "No no Junior, you can't *self* harm. Let me do it for you!"
  10. One beer and not driving for 3-4 hours? It wouldn't cross my mind to worry about that.
  11. So glad they found it early! Hope removal goes smoothly. :grouphug:
  12. You had a c-section Monday and moved on Friday? Holy cats, woman! Congrats on your new little guy!
  13. Cast iron gets a stainless scrubby thing if there's something stuck, but my pans clean up fine with a soapy scrub brush. The more expensive IKEA ones work better than the cheaper ones. You know, the $1.49 ones instead of the $.79 ones. ;) http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30149556/ The bristles are sturdy and close together. They last a long time too. I haven't been to IKEA in forever.
  14. Oh my. I'd be walking to Canada. I want to be a snowbird when I grow up to escape the heat in GA.
  15. When our air went out during a heat wave, we slept under damp sheet tents and strong fans. It sucked. Hope you get relief soon.
  16. I don't use sponges for that reason. I use IKEA scrub brushes that go through the dishwasher each time and microfiber towels that can be washed.
  17. Yes! Hair toys. My Little Pony works well, but they do hurt if you get whacked in the head with one. I recommend the smaller size. :o
  18. Yeah, shorts were supposed to be all NIKE for them, but there were pics of Josh selling used cars in shorts in People a couple of weeks ago. I guess shorts < sex with hookers on the sin scale in the grand scheme of things.
  19. I had one of those! I had blood blisters from the pinching. Football hold with something in hands worked best for me. Something soft because if he's like mine, he'll smack you with it. The Children's Place had sleep and play suits with the foldover mittens that went to 6-9 mos, though my tiny pinching machine pinched until 18 mos.
  20. Recent convert, busily repenting from his ungodly ways. He's a pastor of some sort in Texas who does online videos to reach others. Publicity win for him and JimBob, whose show was renewed on the news of the newest courtship.
  21. You know, the nicest people in my hospital experiences have been transport people. So friendly and kind. I hope your DD's surgery goes well.
  22. Not the chocolate!!! :( Carob isn't bad. Carob chips are also a childhood memory. "Healthy" carob covered raisins and carob chips in trail mix. Amazon has carob powder and chips, but I'm guessing you can find it locally in Seattle pretty easily. :) Lots of recipes for it too, even hot cocoa. Rise Bars have a carob option.
  23. Apparently nothing because he was officially in charge of it and it's 7:15 pm with nothing bought or prepared. (Mother's Day retribution.) I guess I will give up and feed the little kids something in a minute. Big kids can fend for themselves. Grrr.
  24. Salad with arugula, tomatoes, and feta in pesto red wine vinaigrette
