  1. I think maxi dresses are ugly on any body type. I'd send it back.
  2. I have a super short haircut (Katy Perry's latest cut) and I go to my hair dresser every 4 weeks. I make my next appointment before I leave. It takes her 20 minutes to cut/wash/style. I wash every night/wet in the morning/apply product. Done. So less than 15 minutes per day.
  3. Doesn't bother me at all I've never given it a thought.
  4. I should add I am the only one so far with food allergies and they developed over time since I was about 30. The latest is avocado. I'd like to eat the food I grew up eating and that I prepared for my dh & children during the first 20 years of our marriage, but it is not possible. Sausage gravy & biscuits sounds good right now.
  5. I did until I was in my mid 40's. Now at 49 I have to watch/weigh/measure everything I eat or I gain weight FAST. It started with food allergies and then blood sugar issues. I spent the first 43/44 years of my life super thin. Had 4 children and never was overweight. I am not overweight now because I am careful. My blood sugar is stable. I'd love biscuits and homemade jam, but I can no longer eat it. We raise our own beef/pork/eggs/fruit/veggies and I eat those just in weighed & measured portions. It sucks.
  6. So baffled you are pretending not to see this as a potential problem. But I guess it is ok because now it is your son she likes again.
  7. No. I can't stop someone from having a crush, but I could stop one of my dd's pitting two brothers against each other. And maybe she is too young to realize it, but as an adult I would have clearly been able to see the trouble she could have been starting in a family.
  8. So dss was made to stop texting with her, but you are wondering about her and your son being a couple. Your bias toward your son in this thread is huge. HUGE. Lots of trouble brewing and I can't believe you are pretending to be so naive about it. FWIW I have four daughters and each 'set' are approx. 18 months apart. I would have put a stop to any of them doing this.
  9. Mayo on Saltines. Deep fried chicken gizzards dipped in Ranch with a side of fries. I love and grew up eating these weekly. Sadly I haven't had them in over a decade.
  10. Loving my 60 acres right now, snakes and all. We did live in a neighborhood until my oldest was 12 but I never had any trouble with neighborhood kids. And never the crazy stuff I read here.
  11. I'd send their children home and tell them to sit on the porch or in front of the door. There is no way I'd even consider keeping them at my home. I have never in my 50 years ran into the crazy I've read about on this board over the years. Or I have some serious RBF and scare people.
  12. I only charge my Blaze every 4 or 5 days. It takes about a hour to fully charge.
  13. Fitbit Blaze I wear 24/7 except when bathing or swimming. I believe it is waterproof but cannot be submerged. Fitbit does make one that can be worn while swimming. I follow my steps throughout the day and can track almost any exercise or activity I do. Wearing it has GREATLY increased my activity. I can also track my sleep patterns/heart rate which I like and it seem very accurate. The Blaze is akin to a smart watch in that I can view my texts & incoming phone calls from it. I can also control my music from it. I'll definitely purchase another or something similar when this one needs replacing.
  14. I'm actually eating homemade coleslaw this very minute.
  15. Thanks for mentioning this I'm downloading it now. I just watched an episode of 48 Hours on YouTube last week about this case had no idea there was a podcast.
  16. I love my Fitbit Blaze. Both dh & I have one connected to Android phones with no problem. It may be a bit bigger than you want but I wanted it for the extra features. I have a lot of really cute bands purchased on Amazon for under $10 to mix and match with whatever outfit I'm wearing.
  17. This. It sounds like she wants to be Queen of the Castle and needs to get rid of you so her father can support her and her whims for the rest of her life. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.
  18. I feel for you. Really. I'm stressed for you whenever I read about this problem. Why does your dh put up with this shit. I have four adult children that I love dearly but if they lived in my home (and two still do) they'd follow my rules or move the f*ck out. I'm serious.
  19. Yes. Only the ones in plastic bags from Aldi. They just stay green and hard and rot. No in between.
  20. I'm pretty sure I've told this here before but about 12+ years ago I was grocery shopping with all 4 of my children when I bumped a woman with my cart. Just barely grazed her leg. I immediately apologized. She then began to mock me. Repeating back my apology in my very southern accent. We were btw in my home town in very rural Kentucky my accent was the norm. She then began to follow me around the store non-stop repeating my words. Her poor dh was begging her to stop. I finally had to stop shopping and have a store manager walk me to my car. It was crazy and scary.
