We have one from time to time at the PO nearest me. I think it's kind of strange. It's not a large PO, and there's only one counter (unless you're picking up mail), and not even any vending machines or APC, so it's not like he can direct you to the correct spot. No passport pictures there either. I figure it would help a lot more for him to be behind the counter, if they're really wanting to improve customer service.

I have no idea what is or isn't permitted in dorms, but I have the nifty Crock-Pot Lunch Food Warmer. It's not an instant heating thing though, it warms food over several hours - so she could put soup or stew in it in the morning and it would be hot at lunchtime. I like mine, it's very compact, easy to clean, cord wraps around it when not in use. Mini Crock-Pot

The girl who died was a member of my family's church. We attended a vigil service for her on Sunday night. It was so incredibly sad. Her classmates were broken-hearted. I don't know the family personally but Natalie was very well loved at the school and church. I know everyone's hearts are aching for the Giorgis.

Hi Jean! There is no Sonic very near to us - the nearest one is about 1/2 hour away. However, the town we go to for 4-H, which is about 1 1/2 hours away has a couple and we stop there every so often. I like the bacon egg and cheese toaster sandwiches. Yum. And the tater tots. For my usual burger fix, I like In-N-Out. They opened one up right near us about a year ago. Yes, we are allowed (ha ha) to pump our own gas. I only know of one gas station in town that provides full service (and it's really expensive). I don't think you're in OR but I know you're not allowed to pump your own gas there (or at least in the past you weren't allowed to).

The house I am in now is the longest time I've ever lived in one - 13 years. I imagine DH and I will stay here until he retires, then I am hoping to move to a smaller town - not too far away. That would be my ideal.
