Lay down and rested for a while but it was too hot to sleep. Did not get any school work done today - will do some tomorrow for sure DH has gone to borrow lawn chairs Did some laundry, will do another load or so Need to run to Target to buy some cat food and some snacks for tomorrow

Hot dogs - I'll take mine with mustard, please. We finished a major home improvement project not too long ago (an addition on to our house) so right now the focus is on decluttering and keeping things CLEAN (ha ha). I am also slowly decorating the school room as I come across things I like and can afford...trying to do a Colonial America theme. Toothpaste - I usually buy Close Up for me and dh, but we always seems to have several brands floating around as everyone likes a different kind. I also like Weleda Pink toothpaste (natural) but I haven't bought it lately.

Family reunion today - hot dogs and chips, it is! √ Need to drop bread off at church sometime today.√ One last load of laundry to do √ Will try to get at least one thing organized or sorted through before we head out - went through spices and condiments and tossed out all the old outdated ones. I would contact them. They sent you the wrong thing, right? Or did you order the wrong thing? If they sent the wrong thing, they should pay for the return shipping (or else tell you to keep it and send you a new one). Call or live chat with amazon and ask if there's anything they can do at this point.

Done: Went to church with dh and kids and watered all the plants Stopped at grocery store and bought flour and yeast One load of laundry To do: go to Home Depot √ more laundry √ bake bread for church and pray it turns out OK --- first batch is baking right now, second batch is rising (fingers crossed) figure out what I'm bringing to family reunion tomorrow other than hot dogs --- still don't know. I have a bag of chips here, maybe I'll bring those. :D I'm not having any inspirations.

Hated mine. Hated. With. A. Passion. I was never so glad to see an appliance go. Maybe I just had a bum set. I also think that part of the problem was that we have a tankless water heater, and with the weird stop-and-go cycles on the HE washer, there just wasn't enough hot water to get the clothes clean. I was always having to re-wash, it stank, stuff got stuck in the gasket, the cycles took for-freakin'-ever. I just all around hated them. I now have the top-loading Speed Queen washer and matching dryer and love them. I know they're not as energy-efficient but they are so much faster and do a much better cleaning job.

I'm sorry. I hope you feel much better soon. I've been grumpy, too, but I don't really have an excuse. I'm glad you give the movie a good review. I'd like to go see that myself with the kids. Sorry about your poor ds :(

I'm taking a break today. I will show up at my SIL's later for fireworks, but mostly I'm just planning on reading today and taking a bath. Way too hot to do much else. Tomorrow should be cooler.

I was catching some extra zzzzzz's this morning. Man, yesterday was rough. Done: Ate breakfast Did some laundry Soaked in a tub with epsom salts Ate lunch To Do: More laundry Schoolwork Do a little tidying up in the living room and school room My SIL dropped off a huge bag of Rice Krispies cereal and marshmallows...obviously a hint that she wants me to make Rice Krispie treats for the 4th. I don't want to :( I'm going to see if dh will make them.

I. Am. Done. (in more ways than one).

I know someone who bought a house that way. He wanted to buy in a particular neighborhood and he wrote letters asking people to let him know if they were interested in selling, and he did eventually end up purchasing a house. We've had people leave notes on our cars, LOL, asking if we wanted to sell them (not our house though, I wish!)

Finally got car smogged after going to 3 stations, and purchasing a Yelp coupon that I couldn't use...grrr...good news is car passed smog and is finally done. Nephew's gift is wrapped. Still need to pick up ds, go grocery shopping, buy mailing envelopes, take books to post office, and figure out dinner. I am hating this day.

Of course, as I was driving ds this morning I thought of a bunch of other things I need to do. Number 1 is taking my car to get smogged so I don't get pulled over for having an expired registration. I also stopped at Whole Foods and bought some eco-friendly laundry detergent. This dang stuff better work or I am going to be stuck with a huge jug of it. I got an iced coffee (yay!) and I'm going to take a pain pill for my back and then go to the car smog station. I also remembered my nephew is having a birthday party tonight. I need to wrap his gift. Hmmm...I wonder if we're eating there or if I need to come up with a dinner plan.

Oh, boy, I think it's bad here (at times) but I know it can't compare to where you are, Heather. I've told my dh when he retires we are moving somewhere where there's less traffic. I can't imagine being a little old lady behind the wheel and coping with the cars on the road. I try to remember to say a prayer every time before I start driving.
