  4. when you finially update your blog. its been almost a week, and i was going crazy. we had to power for days, but we are finially back on track!
  5. okay so i struggled to get through that!lol, i made it with chopped chopped apples , water a bit of skim milk toward the end, pumplin pie spice and a dash of salt. it cooled i tasted and yuck.lol. wasnt sweet and very bland. soooo i had to add about a teaspoon brown sugar and it was much more bearable. i feel like i had a healthy breakfast. before that i had a slice of toast with hummus... i usually skip breakfast all together....so this is progress.
  6. okay im gonna go make some with apples. be back!
  7. i thought about cinamon or pupkin pie spice, but its just not sweet enough for me :)
  8. okay i gotta loose this 10 pounds i somehow gained, and i gotta eat breakfast, so i have quaker oatmeal old fashioned. i like it sweet, i tried it with a bit of maple syrum but i didnt like it. id love to add sugar but i have to loose the weight and i put sugar in my coffee already..... it would be nice if i could get the kids to like oatmeal too,....they never even at baby cereaal
  9. has anyone seen this or used it? could it be for a 4 year old, maybe as an intro to sciece??? http://www.hookedonphonics.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=35795

  11. **** snow had to take out our power! we hoped to get it back but its just too cold for the kids to sleep through it.....so here we are. we were given water and dry ice this am for the groceries, but come on this is too much! we will head home tomarrow for some showers and see whats going on. we were told it cold be days though :(
  12. id say no. we just had to get rid of our dog after 2 uears. it was dds dog too, but the kids are allergic, it was a choice we made as a family, and even dd wanted to do it, because she was tired of coughing
  13. aww i cant wait to hear; i had a disapointing month when af returned but this is another hopeful month. good luck and i cant wait to hear!
  14. i have 4 but really only use 100 ez....we do some games from opgtr cause i like them and hop we havent used for ages but now i took it out. we love the readers from hop as does dd. and we are almost done with the k level. she is the kind of kid who likes new things, she gets bored fast and doesnt try her best if its the same thing every day.
  15. cle ltr for kids who cant read yet and hve to learn the whole concept? or would 1st cle be for a child who can read simple text? just wondering cause im confused on their sight??? its very inexpensive too
  16. i love the etc books. we started book 1 when dd was a new 4. then it was put away for a bit, and i worked a tad on her handwriting. she is now 4.5 and workng through book2 along with 1 1/2. i enjoy some of the sentece writing in the half books, and she does 2-3 pages a day alternating between the 2. i also got the get ready for the code books for ds 2 so he will start there in the summer.... they are inexpensive, ive gotten all mine off this board and relly good practice. we dont do any other handwriting programs, so this is great.
  17. near lesson 80 are just too long for their 4 year old to sit and read? while i love the book to a certain extent, i find them much to long and dd does to. so now we are going to finish hopk and move into hop 1st grade, where she already probably is.... is this a bad choice? we do have opgtr but i wanna start tht maybe later on after we finsih the other programs, although i do pull games from it... she is in etc book 2 doing well, and also aas1 is it bad to mix things up to keep them not being bored?
  18. we are finishing hopk right now with dd 4. it is way below her reading level but its a change from 100 ez. we are at leasson 80 in that and i find the stories extremely long for a 4 year old to sit through and read/ so, i whipped out hopk to finsih up yesterday and then we will move onto hopk1. we also do aas, etc book 2 with 1 1/2 harder pages for reinforcement and hangwriting practice. with will finish horizons k book 1 in a month or so.
  19. we are doing k now at 4. we do alot, sometimes, sometimes a little but ALWAYS something. check my blog, youll see. now its 9am, off to start school and then blog about the day! :)
