  1. Thank you for posting this! It's just what I need right now! DH and I just finished TMM, and we're starting it in January in full-force. I can't wait for the freedom it will provide! Congratulations to you and your DH!

  3. The only rap I like is the old school fluffy stuff from my teen years, and that was 20+ years ago! Today's rap is hard to listen to, full of obscenities, and too aggressive for my liking. I'm pretty open to many types of music, but I draw the line at a lot of the hip-hop/rap that's out now.
  4. I don't think I could wait until Sunday because I'd be dying to find out, but I would give it another couple of days just to be sure... Friday morning sounds good :D
  5. This thread is hysterical! I was just having the conversation with my mom today as to why my boys are SO loud! Perfectly normal it appears! I'm one of 3 girls, so I had NO preparation for this... Good to know it's all normal and I'm not alone! I still cannot get the rambunctiousness though... whew!
  6. I'm tired... just tired... Hearing "it's just a phase" is not enough. I want there to be changes, for it to get easier... Why is it when men are not feeling well, the world is ending, but even though I've had a sore throat & a stuffy nose, but I'm supposed to still do everything (and then some because said man is not feeling well)??? It's nice to have family visit, but sometimes they stay too long. I'm learning I'm really a private person. Venting is nice...
  7. Dh just told me about this site that lists BF online sales and their start times. HTH! http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/OnlineSales
  8. DH was browsing the sales fliers about an hour ago and asked me if I wanted leggings! Ahhh... no.... I told him I already made that fashion statement when I was in middle school. Then I come here, and it's a thread! I've been laughing hysterically at some of these responses! No plans for leggings here... I'm a bit bigger than I was back-in-the-day!
  9. I talk to my middle sister nearly daily. She and I are different, but we also have a lot in common. There are some issues we can't go near, but we've learned what they are and we avoid them. I only talk to my youngest sister in spurts. We've talked a few times this past week, but before that it was 2 months of not hearing from her. She's a pretty selfish person willing to include you in her life when she sees fit. I don't chase after her. When we're together it's fine though.
  10. What about The Mouse and the Motorcycle? Chronicles of Narnia? Swiss Family Robinson?
  11. I think it's wonderful to have men on here because they do offer a different perspective. Welcome, Martin!
  12. How about The Incident at Hawk's Hill? I can't remember the author, but I have yet to find a child who hasn't liked it. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians books are also hugely popular if you are comfortable with mythology themes.
  13. Thank you everyone! I'm eager to get baking! :D
  14. There are so many amazing restaurants even if you can't eat seafood. If you go to tripadvisor.com you can find reviews for area restaurants. There's one called Justine's (I think) that was featured on Rachel Ray's $40/day show. It specializes in authentic southern food and is cheap. We loved Magnolia Plantation when we went because it's a plantation, but it also has trails through the Southern swamplands (yes, there are alligators). My boys loved all the wildlife as well as the farm animals at the plantation. DH and I soaked up the history and nature! We LOVE Charleston! Just walking the streets to see the historic homes, gardens, and even gas lanterns at night is a treat, and that's free. Enjoy your trip!!!
  15. I'm another one who loves the AG! DS is completely enthralled with history, and he loves doing the maps, activities, and an occasional coloring page. We're really pleased with this history program.
  16. I'd definitely recommend Cathy Duffy's book coupled with Discover Your Child's Learning Style by Hodson & Willis. I started with Duffy's book, and chose curriculum accordingly; however, I was still missing the mark with DS. After getting the learning styles book, I feel I was able to choose even more wisely.
  17. I LOVE biscuits, and I'd love to make them from scratch. Would you be willing to share your recipes? Thanks!
  18. Girls: Lia, Marin, Amelia, Adelaide, Mary, Celia Boys: Garon, Matthew, Oliver, Landon, Henry
  19. :grouphug: Hoping he will get better soon!!!
