just seeing this... hopefully they came and fell in love. -
praying...

I wondered about this issue myself. We have a couple of trees that straddle 2 yards... I would offer to pay half. But, YMMV

I was shocked by the price of the "cheapest" casket when my mom died. It was over $5000. Really? I plan to buy my own online and store it... somewhere (don't know yet since my house is too small to store something like that). But, even some of those are 2K.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your uncle. It sounds like the shock of his death is taking it's toll. But, I agree with what others have said that it brings out the crazy. Sounds like she really needs a shoulder to lean on and that's not happening (not that I think it should be you though). I agree with you that asking for money is weird and improper. But, I'm OLD... there seems to be a GoFundMe for just about everything... maybe I'm out of touch.

We use it for college daughter. It helps us pay her back for housing/food/gas.

I agree with @Catwoman if she isn't in charge speak to her broker. Sometimes you have to say enough is enough. At the very least they will have a talk with your realtor. We got out of a contract by going to the broker. -

prayers for you today. I know it's such a pain to sell a house. I love quirky too, but not everyone does. -
We used to have an electric weed whacker but we found it didn't hold it's power. I have a gas powered one that I love. It's heavy though. We've also had electric ones, and they're lighter.

Appropriate gift for PT school grad
PrincessMommy replied to PrincessMommy's topic in The Chat Board
We're going to both the Hooding (Sat) and the Graduation (Sun). I believe it's a rehab PT center she will be working for. Definitely not early intervention or a hospital. No traveling. I like the bag idea though. -
I agree that something smells fishy.... I hope the police are able to find her safe and figure out what has really happened.

I hope you figure it out. We've discovered that many companies even though you *cancel* the subscription/membership, etc... they still continue to charge. My husband cancelled his membership - in person - at a local gym. Asked them, "Is this all I need to do to cancel?" He was told it was enough... 3 months later we discover he's still being charged!! We canceled Wired Mag. YEARS ago- multiple times when they would call...... and only recently discovered by accident that they were charging us once a year for a subscription. This is after cc have been updated to new expir. dates. and we've moved. Ugh... partially our own fault for not looking closely at EVERY dang statement.

This is my daughter-in-law. She's graduating with a Ph.D. in PT. She already has a job waiting for her once she passes her exams. We're going up to her graduation this weekend. We don't normally do undergrad graduation ceremonies, so this is new to us.

Who else is taking classes this summer? Which ones? Our community college has 2 summer sessions that are about 5-6weeks each. I'm taking one class in the first session which I'm looking forward to. It is Human Evo and Anthro. 3 nights a week... so I feel like this is doable. I won't be taking anything for the 2nd session as we have a new grandbaby coming in July and our family vaca at the beginning of Aug.

I would do a google search. I think it might be every few months to 6... but I'm not sure. I don't use mine nearly as often as I should either. I think monthly would be too often.

oh wow. That is so sad. Here's an article: https://heavy.com/news/2019/05/rachel-held-evans-dead/

Am I the only one wondering who Guest 1, 2, & 3 are? 😏

I'm not paying $6K either!! Mine is the slide in version and probably the smallest they sell. But, it's in a fixed place and I can't (won't) enlarge. It will be less than $2500 but not $1500 sadly. Going with a designer means I use her suppliers... no scratch -n- dent - which I'd also prefer. With both ranges, I get the 5th burner. But it's different on each model. That's what I was trying to figure out.
-
@gardenmom5 - that is a good point about the vent being flush with the burners. I hadn't thought of that. It will be under the microwave, which has a vent. I think I'll plan on using that instead. I hadn't thought about which burner to use as my go-to. Good thoughts. I also like the grates better on the GE but the Samsung is very similar. The other options I had open grates. That nixed them off right away (that, and the placement of the control nobs). @kbutton - We had a convection oven at our last house. I miss it.
-
I am undecided between two ovens and would love some feedback. First one is a Samsung: 5.8 cf capacity for the oven. Warming drawer. 5th burner is oval only for extra large pans or griddle. https://www.samsung.com/us/home-appliances/ranges/gas/nx58h9500ws-slide-in-gas-range-with-true-convection-nx58h9500ws-aa/ Second oven is a GE Profile. 5.6 Cf capacity. No warming drawer. 5th burner is a mix between oval or standard size for regular sized pans or griddle choices. (best seen in the photos) https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/PGS930SELSS So my issue is I like both the warming drawer feature AND the size choices for the 5th burner. Honestly, I'll use the griddle more than I'll use the 5th burner as a traditional burner (almost an empty nester). But, I'll probably only use the warming drawer when we have a big gathering. So it's not like either feature is a *have* to have on a daily basis. Which would you prefer to have?
