  1. These are the free ones Microsoft OneDrive (used to by Skydrive) - 7GB, Google Drive - 15GB, and Box - 10GB. All have apps.
  2. mardel.com has CAP (Classical Academic Press?) stuff on sale --20% off. Look at retailmenot.com for coupons. Not sure if it still applies but there's one for $5 off $35 and I saw that shipping is free for $49 plus. Also, they allow you to order online and do in-store pickup. I think there's a one day sale coming up next month as well but don't know the details.
  3. I agree. Soooo disappointing. I wished Microsoft had given all the features and just charge something for it rather than having it free and useless. I was so excited to start planning for 2014-2015 with it until I started to play with it. Guess I'll just stick to ho-hum UI for Evernote.

  6. http://calibre-ebook.com I absolutely love Calibre. It is the most useful software and it's free! It is used daily when I pull up my PDF teacher manuals. It doesn't organize videos but you could create an entry for the video and note its title, content and location as well as organize it for the grade that you are using for along with tags. You can create columns to organize whether you have it as a kindle ebook, pdf, or borrowed from library or overdrive. It took a weekend for me to organize all my digital content. From there, I just enter the data as I acquire stuff.
  7. The Moffats The Melendy Quartet (The Saturdays) The Penderwicks All-of-a-Kind Family The Borrowers Poppy Tumtum & Nutmeg
  8. Have you considered Wordly Wise Online? I ordered that via HSBC and have been using it the last two years and the kids have been using it for 20 minutes 3x a week.
  9. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id520038983?mt=8 Free for limited time. I had already purchased it last year. :tongue_smilie: Edited: There's a Level 1 and Level 3, those are not currently free. For the Level 2, this is the first time it's free.
  10. Used JAG after FLL4 for Grade 5. I like it.
  11. Sound literacy is just tiles. No sounds. You should check out Word Wizard to use with AAS instead as it is only $3. It's a less expensive alternative and it has tiles & sounds. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/word-wizard-talking-movable/id447312716?mt=8
  12. Thanks for the feedback! I am thinking about trying it for the Adaptive Curriculum Middle School Science. It's only $8/per student per year! It's a great price compared to HSBC where it's $40 for the same subscription. It just seems like it would be a good supplement to add. The Aha! Science is only $15/year per student for anyone who's reading this and is interested. I am testing out some of the other features that go with having a free account. It appears that you can create your own unit study and lesson plans where you can embed videos and upload docs. Not sure if I want to dive into it for other things or just use the Adaptive Curriculum.
  13. Yay or nay? Saw it mentioned in another thread but didn't want to hijack.
  14. I know subscription-based planning isn't ideal but Homeschool Buyer's Coop has Homeschool Planet if you are looking for something else. They have a 30-day trial. It's really easy and flexible as well as pleasing to look at.

  17. For me, it was overkill. There's no need for the rest unless you're filling in a gap.
  18. Mathboard Fractions Wordly Wise Online (using with paid annual subscription via HSBC, this is different from the free Wordly Wise Flashcards)
  19. I have tons of apps as we had the app store gift card from the BTS promotion last year at Apple. I use the following two on a daily basis for PDF annotation. Notability for the kids - visually appealing for the kids and I like the organization levels - $2.99 right now, used to be $ .99 PDF Expert for me - ability to quickly to organize, merge, delete, split documents (a bit boring in appearance) - $9.99 normal price, sometimes goes on sale for $4.99 I have also tried and deleted iAnnotate, Goodreader (good but too cluttered), and Penultimate (poor). As for stylus - I have tried the Targus and Boxwave. I like the mesh fiber for the Boxwave. Edited: Autocorrect!
