If you have siblings that live at least two hours away
Martha in GA replied to Amethyst's topic in The Chat Board
I am one of 7 children (both parent deceased). We have a family reunion every other year. We take turns planning the reunion. I am planning this year's reunion; with kids and grandkids, there will be 40 of us (all of my siblings and their spouses will come, but not all of everyone's family will be able to make it) -
I agree. I hate having to scour their website to figure it out!

That is excellent news!

What about breakfast foods for dinner -- breakfast burritos, eggs, french toast, waffles/pancakes. Many of these can be made ahead and then just reheated.

A gadget that can tell you if your food is still safe to eat (Thinking of all the "Would you eat this?" threads!)

Is there such a thing as a tub mat that won’t mold?

I have no idea if this would work, but maybe spraying one of those daily shower sprays on the suction cups after each time you use it? -
I wouldn't want him to take the statin. Seems like figuring out why he had the TIA would be more important.

Dr. Hive - are these related? Or what the heck is going on?

Another thought...Are you gluten free? I was having a sharp pain around where the top of the femur hit the pelvis (I think, I can't quite place the exact location), worse after sitting for long periods. I was convinced I had sudden onset osteoarthritis in that spot, but it seemed somewhat intermittent. However, I eliminated gluten/wheat from my diet and I haven't had problems since -- but, I can't guarantee that was the solution or if it was coincidental. I'm just trying to brainstorm with you because I sympathize with your issues. Maybe the gluten was inflammatory for me. -
Can you elaborate on that? I've been on Synthroid for 20 years...just wondering what kinds of health problems to look for.

I have no idea if this would be helpful, but would gentle bouncing on a rebounder maybe help keep the lymph moving?

Maybe a pinched nerve? I can relate to the sudden onset and sudden resolve of problems (although sometimes it gradually gets better). I don't know if it is related to the Hashi's (I also have that). Like you, I am a regular exerciser, so it is very frustrating to have these kinds of aches and pains and being worried if exercising can cause an issue to worsen, and as I ease back into exercise after an "episode" I worry that I will have a recurrence. I don't really have an answer, only commiseration...maybe take some magnesium supplements? -

Sorry to hijack, but my dh has Dupuytrens Contracture and googling hasn't yielded anything helpful. Do you use all three for the DC, or is one better than the others? How helpful has it been? Does it just slow down the rate of the contractures, or does is actually reverse some of the damage?

I'm not seeing any easing of inflation either. Last trip to Aldi's saw price increases on eggs, peanuts, cream cheese, and whipping cream (the only things I happened to notice because I buy them often...) -
At least she didn't emphasize the baby bump!

I got mumps during Christmas break from college one year. My mom swears I had the MMR vaccination. I don't remember flu like symptoms, but the lymph nodes in my neck area were definitely painful.

I'm glad the EP is working hard at figuring things out. Sometimes, I think the "not knowing" phase is the hardest part of medical problems.
