Just a bolded reminder of what the OP posted.... -
Put their cellphones on speaker for a conversation in public indoor spaces like a library? And the ones who do always seem to have the volume turned up loudly. Honestly, the rest of us do not need to know or care about your financial or medical business... (It should go without saying that my comment does not include with hearing issues.)

I vote plane, unless your ds likes seeing lots of scenery. Google tells me that's a 16 hour train trip vs about 4 hour plane ride.

That's it! I am never going to the movie theater again!
Elfknitter.# replied to Home'scool's topic in The Chat Board
This. In theaters that I've been to with assigned seating, it applies to the whole theater. It's stupid that they have a system where in one theater some can choose seats ahead of time and others can randomly choose where to sit. -

My inner medieval studies major heart is dying. I had always wanted to see it. -
Doesn't add to the thread, I just thought it was an interesting tangent as I've never really thought about pay periods and different industries.: https://www.bls.gov/opub/btn/volume-3/how-frequently-do-private-businesses-pay-workers.htm

I have a 13 yo son with long, very thick hair and he could use some help with properly shampooing his scalp. Anyone here have experience using a manual hair scalp massager like this?

Not the responsible "pay off my debt and put some away" choice? I'd book a trip to the UK and Ireland. Maybe I'd spend the winter holidays with my friend in Dublin. After re-visiting and visiting places on the isles, I'd finally hit Holland, Scandinavia, and then Iceland on my way back to the states.

Women in Congress... largest number yet and firsts!

The US just elected 8 new scientists to Congress, including an ocean expert, a nurse, and a biochemist. Some are women. ? -
People can always decline receiving a sticker. When my kids were little, I used to give mine to them. As anything, not everyone will like them. I'm just in the camp that does. ?

That was from LA County and that particular one was probably from an absentee/ vote by mail packet. I got the sticker with my absentee ballot. I thought Alaska's wins hands down.
-
I was going to post a, "Show me your I Voted! sticker" thread but CNN beat me to pictures from across the US. Here's the link: https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/06/us/voting-stickers-50-states-trnd/index.html Mine is there (CA). If you don't see yours, post it!

I don't know if I would remarry as it falls into the realm of anything is possible to me. Having said that, I would not actively be seeking another marriage. I do see myself seeking companionship-- but I don't think marriage is the only way to have that.
