  1. I am overcomer1978. I would love some active friends to help motivate me http://www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/overcomer1978
  2. I would either find the nanny that said you stole the stuff and confront her face to face, or do nothing because you don't have to defend yourself for something you didn't do.
  3. I was worried about the font too, and switched from R&S for the same reason as you. All my kids are doing great with it and don;t seem to care or notice so we are sticking with it!!!!
  4. I bought a squat rack and olympic weight set off of Craigslist for $500. Love it. I also do The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I havent done it for 3 months and am restarting.
  5. LOVE that movie and so do my kids. Theres a second one The Brave Little Toaster goes to Mars. I introduced my kids to a lot of old time movies and shows and I love that they love them!
  6. I used to make mine in the crockpot (after heating on the stove) and then placing it in the oven wrapped in towels overnight with the light on. Now have a yogurt maker. I use the exact same recipe and starter and my yogurt comes out thick with almost no whey in the jars. IDK why, but I love it :)
  7. That feeling didn't go away until I actually had my baby. I think it totally normal.
  8. I am making my 12 yo swim at a party. You would have thought I told her we were killing kittens today.
  9. I had a bobcat walk under my deer stand this year. I got some video of it- they are a lot bigger than I thought! People here in southern IL see them all the time. I have bald eagles land in backyard in January every year. We have some awesome pics of them. We raise deer so I see those all the time lol Coyotes walk through my yard and across my patio al the time- woke me up a few nights last week because they were right under my bedroom window. They are annoying. A lynx would be awesome to see. There have been reports of sightings of mountain lions here, but I have yet to see one of those.
  10. maaybe they did pray about it and God is guiding them even if it is sudden..............
  11. I got the same thing. Pretty much I always eat or think of food. What would work for me would be some counseling probably, but have no idea where to turn. Mine is all a mental problem. I have lost 100 lbs and I can and will stick to any diet, but can only do it for a certain amount of time because I never conquer the main issues of why food comsumes me. Its an addiction for me
  12. I get overwhelmed trying to figure out what to eat and then having the time to make it. I love eating unprocessed and I love eating healthy foods, but just the thought of figuring out what to eat and then cooking it.....it makes me not want to eat and so I skip meals and then I overeat at the next meal or grab something simple thats not healthy. Freezer cooking helps me out a lot, but I need to find the time and energy to do it and it also overwhlems me. I make it more difficult than it needs to be though.
  13. Yep. I woke up during my d&c after my miscarriage. I'll spare you the details of what I saw. Its totally possible and happens a lot from what I have read.
  14. This is my problem and so I always cook 2 meals- a healthy one for me and whatever for the picky people. I have decided this year to not even try anything new for them because I am tired of being stressed over it. They eat less than 10 meals and so I am going to make the same crap over and over for them and if they complain I will stop making dinner. This will make my life 100% easier because I can make 2 recipes for myself and eat those over a few days and make the same exact boring things for them. I don't even care if they never eat a vegetable. I am tired of the fight and tired of the stress of it all.
  15. I saw a commercial that says Tamiflu cut the duration of the flu by 30%. whoopee. Also the most common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain. ummmm....I would not want to chance adding that to flu symptoms. Not worth it at all IMO. I have lived through the flu 3 times in my life without it.
  16. I'm 36 and my mom still gives me a stocking. Its always going to be a tradition
  17. But his own children do and are all succeeding very well. (I'm not using this curriculum nor am I thinking about it)
  18. I would not tell them I didn't want it. I would say thank you and use it since they put in the thought!
  19. ummmm...hundreds of people were standing outside the room he was in and he wasn't restrained or anything. The second she started taking off his clothes he could have yelled or stood up and left. I have a hard time believeing a woman could scare an unrestrained man with a whip, let alone using it to actually harm him when he had 2 working legs that would allow him to leave the room.
  20. My 6 year old lab who was a perfect puppy and never ate or chewed up anything- ate a giant hole in the wall last year (and actually ate the drywall and all the evidence) and just barfed up an adult size wool sock the other day. Mid-lie crisis?!?!?!!?
  21. Doesn't somehwere on the NoS plan/site it say that you pick the amount of meals you are going to eat? I haven't been on in awhile but I am pretty sure if you are a person that does better with 4-5 small meals a day that is OK as long as thats your plan and it works for you. If I eat 3 squares I overeat dinner or go to bed hungry because I need 4 smaller meals (also I have GERD and small meals keep the pain and acid away, if I eat a bigger meal I get sick) When I first did NoS I also counted calories until I learned how much I could and couldnt eat. I only counted for about 2 weeks until I got the hang of it. I found I was under eating most of the time even when paying attention to portions.
  22. Does anyone have any price comparisons between these 3 stores? Is Trader Joes uber expensive? We have one 60 miles away. I have to drive about 40 to a good Kroger and Aldi and I have the worlds smallest Kroger in my tiny town. I don't eat 100% organic but am trying to switch over (maybe 50% of what we buy is organic)
  23. Im glad I read this- mine is the 11th and I totally forgot lol We never do anything to celebrate so not a biggie. Last year I didn't remember until facebook told me :)
  24. I tried CTGE for the first time this year with a 7th grader, 3rd grader, and 1st grader for the exact same reason! R&S was killing us. It just won't work for my 7th grader, but my 3rd and 1st love it and will stick with it for the long haul. I really was hoping my 7th grader would like it- but she hates the small font and the ton of questions per page. She bombed every page the whole 4 weeks we did it.
