  1. watched it in 2 days. Insane.
  2. All mine have been showing up late ( one was a WEEK late) and so I call everytime and get a free month of Prime added on to the end.
  3. Mine was until 2 weeks ago my husband got offered a job out of the blue and we sold half of everything we had got in his truck and drove 17 hours away from Illinois to south Texas to find a place to live by his new job  Now I am flying back home by myself to pack up the house, 3 kids, a dog and a cat. Suddenly life is insanely interesting.
  4. Moving to the area and looking for a homeschool group and not finding much action in any yahoo group :) Anyone homeschool in CC?
  5. My husband has a 3 year job out of state. We are going to move as a family and were thinking about renting our house out so that it doesn't sit vacant. We still have a mortgage so this will also help with expenses. Have you had good/bad experience renting out your house? Any tips? What should I include in the lease agreement? How did you work repairs? I am a little worried about repairs as we will be out of state and will have to hire out for everything. I don't want to get nickeled and dimed to death for repairs. I understand if an appliance breaks but what about small stuff like a kitchen drawer breaking or the do hickey in the toilet needing replaced? TIA
  6. adding: I love the diet and exercise portion of 21 day fix. The exercise will tone you and aid in the weightloss.
  7. Do the modifications- theres a girl that you can follow through all the workouts that is doing modifications. The videos are pretty intense, but you can do them on your level. Also Autumn will tell you to just keep moving, so if you can't finish an exercise, just keep walking in place or something. She gives you breaks and there's a recovery day with Yoga. I sweat like I've never sweated in my life during the workouts!
  8. I love Shakeology. All of the flavors and all the combos :) I have tried a bunch of different shakes, but these by far taste the best.
  9. I would do Paleo or Primal. Or just start with unprocessed. I have a carb issue also and can go all day without eating and then eat the whole house all night. I found that going unprocessed I didn't really need to worry so much about carbs because I wanted meat and veggies and naturally attained a good balance. I didn't eat bread though. I made homemade tortillas or ate potatoes. Cutting out bread and limiting foods to 5 ingredients or less that I could pronounce helped me a ton and I wasn't ever starving. Edit to add: I lost 50 pounds eating this way and exercising and went off my asthma and GERD meds. If I can kick myself in the rear to get back to it I hope to hit my goal weight and feel better! It involves a lot of cooking and shopping for fresh foods and prep. I did find when I stuck to it 100%, that I naturally cut out snacking almost entirely unless it was a fruit or a veggie because I was too sick of cooking to make anything
  10. I've lost 100 pounds. For half of it I did WW but was eating garbage. The other half I did unprocessed foods and am healthier, happier, fuller, lost the weight faster and feel MUCH better. I also workout heavy (lift weights or do Beachbody programs) and walk/run. Its hard work, every single day. Now, I have 40 left and have to watch my portions and eat unprocessed so I am doing the 21 day fix program. No counting or weighing and measuring, just fill certain containers and if the food fits in it- I can eat it. They are color coded. Love the program. I get obsessive about counting calories and all that and it consumes me and then I quit and binge for a month and gain all my weight back.I hate counting calories. Its different for everyone, but the unprocessed eating literally changed my life. I stopped having asthma issues and went off my meds for that and my GERD. I eat plenty of delicious food and feel great.
  11. He spent $189 twice and $14 four times on AM and did nothing other than create the account? Liar.
  12. I have it also. It gives me major anxiety. I freak out about stomach bugs and I have willed myself not to vomit for over 15 years. I carry barf bags and zofran everywhere I go. My husband deals with all the puke and my kids know to make it in a bucket or to the toilet because I freak out. They each have a bucket on their bed 24/7 just in case. I would suggest counseling, but I haven't gotten any myself  One of the factors in deciding to be done with kids was the puke. Seriously.
  13. There are maybe two or three black families in my whole town and I have never met them. Actually I have seen the kids but not parents so I am not sure if there are even black adults here- I know one family has a white mother and the dad died in the service. We are a town of about 4000. I did have my black cousin for a visit and while we were watching my son play baseball against the team with one black kid on it some a@@ walked by and said there are too any "n-words" here. Obviously we are not a diverse town, rather a stuck up you are your last name and are only worth anything if you have the name and/or money racist town.
  14. I bought a deep pocket sheet set for $10, Amazon Fire stick for $24 and a Kindle Fire HD for $79. Walmart was having their own sale and I got a Shark stem mop for $20. Not super exciting but things I was going to buy and they were all super cheap
  15. I was feeling like this last year and through a random facebook post I found a therapeutic riding farm near my house. My dream my whole life was to work at one. I signed up as a volunteer and it has opened SO many doors. I am now horseback riding again and training to be a certified therapeutic riding instructor. At first I felt guilty leaving my kids so much, but this has been a life changer for me and I let go of the guilt. I regret not doing something for myself sooner! I say find something ASAP and hop in!!
  16. I am wondering if I find this cohesiveness to be missing in the guides, if I could simply use a writing assignment from R&S or EIW and apply to the History or Science portion instead of all the narrating to fix the issue?
  17. This is what the site says- The Living Library Package provides carefully selected living books that coordinate well with the geography plans. These books are not intended to fulfill your student's high school literature credit, as students read separate higher-level literature in the "English" portion of the plans to fulfill that need. Instead, the books in this package were chosen to make geography come to life as students experience various places around the globe. The Living Library Package is highly recommended, unless you need to economize; however, it is not required to earn credit in World Geography.
  18. I've been lurking because I want to use HOD MTMM and up. question to the bolded- I read in the forums from a post from Carrie that BJU Lit is 1/2 credit and EIW and R&S cover the other half to make it 1 English credit. Is that correct? It seems like plenty for 1 English credit to me, am I missing something?
  19. There is a formula based on your weight, which gives you the quantity of food containers you get. I get 1800-2099 calories and I can barely get all my food in. It figures in 400 calorie burn for doing the workouts. I am only 5 days into 21 day fix (4 pounds down, but I have 60 to lose), and I am loving it. For some reason the color thing makes it easy for me. I have counted points and calories in the past and I was tired of counting.
  20. I volunteer at a therapeutic riding center for disabled kids. I love kids and horses, so its perfect for me :)
  21. My son did the same, but I made him finish. There were some words here and there that he didn't know or couldn't sound out. I just did a bunch of lessons at a time and finished it. Plus he got a kick out of the last lesson :)
  22. We don't really focus on outreach but on being active in the community. We go out and give out popsicles in the park, did a free gas hour at the gas station, help fix up people's houses, handed out water on street corners when it was 100 degrees out, have a Christmas program where we buy families Christmas presents and have a party for them at the church, had a party in the park with bounce houses and food........ We do all this just to get out and bless the community, but people become very interested in the fact that we are doing that and come and check us out. I think churches just need to do what we are supposed to do and support and love on people. Show people God through the church.
  23. I use YNAB and follow Dave Ramsey. We budget each paycheck and give every dollar a name :)
