  1. I agree. We have an iPod for our boys on a speaker docking box. They listen to their audiobooks on it. They have had it for a few years and haven't had any problems navigating it. I have found many free audiobooks on the Internet. I also get them from the library. I don't allow them to use earbuds with it yet.
  2. I hate washing dishes, so I try to do them the least times a day. Usually I can get away with doing them only once or twice a day. Sometimes I will tell myself to keep up with them and not let the dishes pile up. I keep the sink clean for only a Amy or two then I do a cooking streak and the dishes pile up. The last thing I want to do after cooking for hours is wash dishes. I cook almost everything from scratch so I already spend too much time in the kitchen. I really need to get my kids to wash dishes for me, but I hate doing it so much I feel bad making them do it. Lol
  3. Yes, to me homemade is made with whole ingredients, for example flour, sugar, veggies, even canned beans. Processed is packaged and boxed, for example dry mixes, boxed cookies, and cereal.
  4. We're on the tail end of having a pretty bad cold. I caught it on New Year's Eve, so I've been sick all year. Lol My boys have been sniffly and coughing on and off. My dh was sick for only a day and is feeling better already.
  5. My tips that I have learned, mainly from Pinterest: For nails- use a base coat, a good quality nail polish(opi, esse, or china glaze), and a good top coat (seche vite) For makeup: check out ELF at Target. It is very affordable and good quality. They also have very good brush sets. Keep checking Pinterest for makeup ideas, I have found very useful tutorials there. Also YouTube has lots of gret videos. Just search your coloring or eye shape and you will get lots of ideas. Good luck!

I always use Pioneer Woman's pizza dough recipe. It mixes really quickly then sits for a few hours. My family loves our homemade pizza. I do throw in about half whole wheat flour. Yum!
  7. A doctor once told me that the med called guaifenisene (sp?) works the best. The name brand is Mucinex. I think it is in other brands too. HTH
  8. Your dd, you and dh have been in my mind and heart all day. Hugs, and lots of prayers.
  9. I have never in my life washed my ceilings, with the exception of a small moldy bathroom. I give you permission to not wash yours. :-)
  10. My oldest did this a few times. The number of no poop days is ridiculously huge, so I wouldn't worry. I think the longest my ds didn't go was 6 days. Unless he starts showing signs of pain, I wouldn't worry.
  11. I have Homeschool Helper on my iPad. It is a nice app and does a nice job with assignments. It doesn't sinc with iPods. HTH
  12. Usually, but not always. I was watching Reba and it stopped with season 4, but online I found out the show had 6 seasons. But almost every other show I have watched (and I have watched a lot of tv shows on Hulu :-) ) has all seasons.
  13. The park closet to our house has a sign prohibiting smoking in the playground and people do it anyways. And yes it bothers me too. I hate the smell. Just because you are outside does not mean it magically get swept up and away from other people.
  14. I think I understand your question. It is because on Hulu plus it only shows one season at a time on the page even more than one season is available. Does that help at all? I am sick and I'm not sure if I am coherent. Lol
  15. I think 105 deg is perfect to "cook" your yogurt. I used to use my dehydrator set at the same temp. I would let it set in there 6 - 8 hours. I have seen many recipes to make yogurt in the crock pot. I haven't done it, but I'm sure it will work fine.
  16. Lol, and she keeps following too closely. Snowshoeing looks fun. I've never lived anywhere snowy enough to try.
  17. I think yeast is sold that way, but I haven't bought it in years because Costco's pouches are way cheaper.
  18. No, I gave myself food poisoning one time from eating cookie dough stored too long before cooking. Think it was only five days, but it was too long. Thank goodness I ate most of the cookies and no one else got sick.malthough I got dehydrated enough to spend 4 hours in the ER. Now I am always super careful with cookie dough.
  19. Ack! I cannot even imagine. I wear wool socks from October through March. My feet hate being cold.
  20. Wow, I would be really annoyed too. I don't even like it when my dh unloads the dishes and puts them away randomly. Does she have OCD or any other compulsive issues? Or was she just trying to be bossy about how you keep your home? I would be straight forward with her and let her know that you appreciate her help with your pets, but you like where everything is and don't want her help "fixing" things.
  21. That was neat to watch even if it is a fake. Actually even better, as I am glad no baby was really in danger.
  22. Thanks, my boys will love this. I'll call it "art class" this afternoon. Lol
  23. My only advice is to check on overstock.com. I found several cute cases there at very good prices.
