Yeah, I get it. We had our surprise baby in January, and our next youngest is 8. I’m 35, and I’ve had high blood pressure with 3 of my 4 (including full-blown eclampsia with my oldest.) My body told me loud and clear all through my last pregnancy: you are done. So, I got a tubal during my c section. And now I find myself very sad about that decision, even though it was clearly right for me. I figure, either I will become ok with it, or maybe adoption is in our future.

YAY! I’m so excited for you guys! I will keep you and that sweet baby in my prayers.

I was wondering if maybe she had a new name, but I hadn’t noticed anyone posting who “sounds” like her, IFKWIM. Now I miss Moxie and creekland, too. I know there are lots of people missing, but I just can’t always remember their user names.

I was just looking at this. I think DD8 is going to do a week long day camp at her studio, and that will be it. They offer weekly drop-in classes, but I don’t think she will do those this year.

I’m so sad about this.

My MIL texted me this morning, wanting to take my 3 bigger kids this afternoon. I’m glad I saw this article yesterday. I checked some other sources when I first saw the article, because I rarely find that I agree with these type of articles. I found several reviews that noticed the same thing. So I had to say no to my MIL, and I’m bummed, because now I won’t be getting a break this afternoon. There’s no way I want them to get the message that you just learn to live with someone touching you inappropriately, though.

In this particular situation, I’d absolutely believe my kid. And I would distance myself from this family. I’m not a fan of calling people trash.

We are just finishing our first year of dance. She’s 8, and is dancing one day a week for 2 hours. She takes ballet and jazz. She will be having her recital in 2 weeks. This is subject to change of course, but judging by her level of enthusiasm, I will be a dance mom for a long time.

My recipe is: 1 melted stick of butter mixed with 1C of peanut butter. Mix in a box of confectioners sugar. Add a tablespoon of vanilla. Mix well, roll into balls and chill. I dip mine in chocolate, but they are good without the chocolate, too. We have them at Christmas. ?

Atlanta is a really scary place to drive. I never drive when we go there, and I’m really not comfy as a passenger, either.

I’ve had a shower with all 4 of mine. The first 3 were church showers, and the last one was a family only shower that my sister threw for me. The boys are 18 mo apart, but they were very different sizes at birth and the seasons didn’t match up, either. Then of course when DD 8 came along, I didn’t have any girl stuff. Actually, I’d gotten rid of all my baby stuff. Of course, I didn’t have anything left when new DD came along. I was very thankful for every gift we received, but I also didn’t mind a bit if someone didn’t get us something, or if they didn’t come to the shower. :)
