  1. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I hear you, Lizzie.
  2. I hope those with more students will add their ideas. It's always fun and helpful to hear how other families are handling these challenges. I've planned my dd's schedule to begin with her easiest class...because I'm not 100% awake mentally.;)
  3. I don't strain mine either. In fact, I've left the beans in my big bottle and will grind them up and make vanilla bean ice cream with them. The coffee filter works easily if you do want to filter your brew.
  4. I'd work towards aligning my younger three together since the 15 yo's schedule is working. The younger three would begin their subjects together with the younger two having free reading time while the 12 yo finishes. It would also be possible to combine all four, but I'd be reluctant to hinder you high schooler. Also starting earlier on days you aren't outside the house is a great way to accomplish more before the day gets away from you. Another option is to look at your 12:00 to 2:00 time slot and tighten it up a bit. Don't be discouraged though, I've found December is always a great time to look back and make adjustments for the new year.
  5. That stinks, I'm so sorry:grouphug:. You might check with the unemployment office for options on the contract.
  6. Dang...dang...dang...I knew this thread would cause me trouble. Canned tomatoes...:sad: I used the last can during our blizzard the other day in big batch of veggie chili. I'm betting my local grocery stores wont have the tetra packs either.
  7. Amy, Could you post a typical day/week schedule with lessons and activities?
  8. :lol::lol::lol: This might require double-dosing Benadryl.
  9. Congratulations, Emmy and welcome to your new baby girls~:grouphug:
  10. Wow, I'm just left wondering who will play Mr. Dacy, Collin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen.:001_huh: I'm not sure if the book cover freaks me out or what, but I always pause when I see it.
  11. Well, I just have to say, that I like these rules, and the strict flexibility within them.:D
  12. dd ds dh mil & fil my parents my 2 sisters and their families sil's family Family dh's office sponsors, this year it was a mom, 7 yob, 9yob, & 3 yog
  13. Yes, but our grass is hiding under a 12+ inch blanket of snow, and of course it's snow again.;)
  14. Congratulations!:hurray::hurray::hurray: Our temp is up to 30' this morning, but it feels colder with the windchill:001_huh:. 81' sounds absolutely divine! I can hardly imagine going out without bundling up today. I might be a little green with envy, enjoy your celebration!
  15. http://familyfun.go.com/christmas/christmas-decorations/christmas-ornaments/ Check out this link for some ideas. An old favorite is to take those little, round, hard candies place them in a circle on a baking sheet and melt just until they run together. Top with a ribbon. They can eat them later too, always a bonus.
  16. In this situation, I'd try to have it fixed for the documentation. Pictures of your children at the even along with the original program could also work. Mistakes happen, but twice in one year must be tough.
  17. I'd try it and see, you may need to stir it up and tweak your batter. We love those pumpkin knots.
  18. 9th grade 1/2 semester here covers the following eight units. DEVELOPING A HEALTHY BODY MAINTAINING PERSONAL HEALTH KEEPING A SOUND MIND PRACTICING PERSONAL SAFETY ADMINISTERING FIRST AID PREVENTING DISEASES AVOID DRUG ABUSE PURSUING RIGHT REALTIONSHIPS
  19. I love the blanket and yarn. Sailor and Bachelor Button would be my pic or Sailor and the Grass. I'm going to send the link to my mom, she'll love it and unlike me, could make it.
  20. :iagree: Well said, I couldn't agree more.
