  1. We do and I wasn't sure how to answer your poll. Ds & dh both love it and use it all the time dd & me...eh...What ever.
  2. "Hey, I've been meaning to do this all year, but I'd like to come and visit your school one day. I will call when I can come." No matter how I look at this, it does not sound social. He wants to visit your school. Now to me, that sounds like an official visit. There are a number of states where "visits" are required, documented and the school district gets $$$ for them.
  3. Imo, he is being disrespectful and rude. He isn't even asking for an invitation or permission to stop by, it's more of an authoritative command. I'd simply say no, we don't have visitors during school hours.
  4. You bet ya. My mom had two babies early in life and on the advice of the experts... Bottle fed... Late baby...She nursed...
  5. Condiments don't bother me one way or the other. I've paused and blinked a few times over the years, but never been offended. Strangest two were a gentleman asking for peanut butter to top his garlic toast, and a raw egg in the middle of a pizza.
  6. I would cry...then gather everyone in one room and huddle around one of my $10 fan heaters. Just the thought of no heat freaks me out. Hope your heat is back on.
  7. I break them in half before cooking and twirl away at the table.
  8. We have screech and big barn owl that enjoy tormenting me from time to time. :001_huh: A quiet, creaky house is something that has always creeped me out, especially one with a dirt floor basement.
  9. http://www.amazon.com/Spornette-Porcupine-Genuine-Bristle-Germany/dp/B0007IFB2W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1260129896&sr=1-2 Hey cool, Amazon has the brush we love too. The one you linked looks good, I can't what the bristles are made of. It looks very similar. The boar bristles do not add static to the hair or rip it as plastic ones do.
  10. This link is to Sally's and has a picture of a very similar porcupine (boar) brush at a great price. I've always purchased the German made one, a Sporenett because my mom said to. I'm sure Walmart, Target or other stores would have a similar brush too. I do think this one would work for her, it's gentle and shines and smooths hair. Your dd is adorable, a few inches off is where I'd start. http://www.sallybeauty.com/Cushion-Brush/SBS-217508,default,pd.html
  11. The bob cut would be adorable and easy to take care of. Ideas... 1. Good brush is a blessing to crazy hair. I've used a boar-bristle from Sally's on my dd since she was three. They are a bit pricey, but last forever. 2. Bottle of homemade detangler (conditioner & water) can tame the scarecrow look. You can also rub in a little each day or even spray your brush before she gets ready. 3. Bows, barrettes and headbands allow her to create fun styles without the breakage of pulling it up. If you have to do ponytails or braids use elastic throw aways. They're easier on the hair.
  12. Donate them...I don't like hanging onto things that take up space, but I'm not opposed to someone re-gifting something nice or useful. Now, I do feel uneasy when people pass along stuff that rhymes with snap.
  13. Fay...Is that your real dog? I've been meaning to ask forever as that face is just so expressive and I just love it. It reminds me of my dear-old dog who is in doggy heaven.
