  1. I recently ran out of my tomato pantry stock, and need to find a better package locally or consider storing our own. My freezer is always packed and canning frightens me for a number of reasons; tomatoes grow marginally well here, and my mind thinks canning is harder than I can pull off. Winter tomatoes here taste like dirt, but not as good.
  2. herbal clear Naturally in a yellow gel stick, is paraben and aluminum free. We've purchase it at Target and Hyvee.
  3. :iagree: And sympathize with you. It reminds me of the Ground Hog Day movie. It's like I wake up to the same day over and over again...Get up, get dressed, shovel path, watch dh run the snow blower, come in warm up...look outside  repeat... The snow plow just threw a huge, dirty disgusting mess up my recently cleared drive way.:tongue_smilie:
  4. I've used antibiotic ointment on them, but they weren't swollen or hot. I hope she's feeling better.
  5. :smash: There's nothing like a little real life banking to drive a lesson home. I'll celebrate with you.:cheers2:
  6. :grouphug:I hear you, we've got our 1' now that the sun is up and -15 windchill. Needless to day, I'm not going out if we don't have too. My ds will want to go out and work on his fort though.
  7. I just finished reading, Careless In Red by E. George. I'm a huge Inspector Lynley fan, but this book fell short of the BBC series. I did enjoy around 300 or so of the 626 pages. (It was nice to see what she did with the character after his wife was murdered, and to check in with Barbara.) Now I'm back to Don Quixote, Mere Christianity and Financial Peace reading bits and pieces here and there. I'm looking to add something I can't put down.
  8. My dd has experienced this as well, she doesn't like it and usually says something like...personal space. The pressure to donate we've been getting as well, and I wonder about that.
  9. If that's a 26 degree positive, we'd be out celebrating:party:. Now -26' here is hard to handle, but we go out in temperatures well below 0 if the wind isn't howling. Like others mentioned, we'd be indoors for days and weeks on end if we didn't. Today we've all been out shoveling and snow-blowing the drive and side walks; our temperature is 14' and the windchill is 2'. I'm so happy to have a positive temp above zero. Enjoy, or at least grin and bear it for the kids. My ds gets wacky when he can't go out, I feel your pain.
  10. I can agree, my dd loved it at 14 and I was lucky to find it eons ago myself. I never thought of this way, but yes. Keep reading op though, it gets better.
  11. I'm interested and look forward to future updates. The literature, history and science classes, are they the old or new format for the grade she's using? We use ABeka DVD and the class perspective is interesting to say the least. It sounds like the program is off to a good start, I'm glad to hear it.
  12. I'm sorry, Mariann...But I actually laughed until I had tears in my eyes. And yes, I'd be a little crazy:lol:.
  13. Tee hee, mine is white too for the same reason. They pay for themselves over time and those cookies sound pretty good. Cookies always sound good to me though.
  14. Wow, the home school laws in Texas are awesome! And no state income tax, I'm about to faint here.
  15. Thank you guys. My head is swimming this morning. It sure would be nice if we could pop down there and have a look before committing to move, thank goodness for the internet and my fellow boardies.
  16. Then I'd go with your plan, but be cheerfully ready with memory questions if they balk at repeating things.
  17. We are in a rush to consider a possible move and know nothing about the city or surrounding area. Anything would be helpful from opinions to neighborhood info, weather, driving, attractions and of course home school opportunities. I'm stressing because we need to decide this by next week and I'm a planner by nature. Help:001_huh:.
  18. :grouphug:Wow, what a decrease. I'm learning property taxes never go any where but up...
