  1. I hear you:bigear:, and I only have one teen boy. My dd eats like a normal person.
  2.:sad: I hope you were able to sleep in, and find a way to keep the culprit out.
  3. I think all your options are good, but my choice would be Learning Language Arts Through Literature, Grey Book * (Scheduled) Weekly lessons are easy for the student and teacher to follow. * (Time) I don't want to give up the time flexibility time to supplement with Vocabulary From Classical Roots and Living Books and Writing. ymmv;)
  4. I just wouldn't shop with her if it made me uncomfortable. The bartering is fine, but some people enjoy pushing and taking the other, and that makes me very uncomfortable.
  5. Congratulations...On the subject of library fines...BE SURE to find out you library policy on e-books. Our library has a limit, and the books only last on your e-reader for 2 weeks...Then they disappear..poof, gone forever:confused:. I'm enjoying this thread. One day, I"m going to get one too, but no idea right now which one.
  6. Check your library for free local gardening lectures and classes, and your local 4H extension offices for brochures and contact with master gardeners. We've still got a few feet of snow on the ground. Enjoy your garden journey. http://www.seedsavers.org/
  7. Good questions with so many options and answers, I've used the following two. 1. Go with a full planned curriculum from a single provider. 2. LLATL, a math textbook, and living books for science and history using The Well Trained Mind and Sonlight book lists and my library.
  8. :iagree: They will grow up so quickly. If you need wardrobe coordination, hang or store her stuff in sets.
  9. (With my youngest.) We continued our chemistry experiments instead of just doing the one scheduled in the lesson plan. He had a blast blasting through the next three and....has decided to begin each day EARLIER than required with chemistry:001_smile:. I can not, can not believe he wants to start any subject before he must. We've also read and discussed our literature and history without picking up a pencil (big one), while I ignored all the pre-written questions. This is the hardest one for me.
  10. :iagree: My nephew, just turned 13 and gets these pre-reading assignment / questions all the time. He finds them frustrating for the most part, because most of the information and people are new to him.
  11. (((Christine))) We're praying for you.:grouphug:
