  1. :iagree: I have some and use it but I am very careful about storage, use, spills, ect. and I am not normally an uptight housekeeper.
  2. Dauphin Island, AL is nice and relaxing and not very touristy. They have Fort Gaines, a bird sanctuary, and other activities on the island and you can take a ferry across the bay to Gulf Shores where there is another fort and various other activities. You are also close to Mobile which has the battleship and the exploreum to name two activities.
  3. Just an idea, I am working on training our dogs to come running to the sound of a cheese slice wrapper. One of our dogs is a 14 year old paraplegic who likes to go on walkabouts in the yard and disappear. This worries me since he is small and there are hawks in our area so I am going to try to train him to come for a bit of cheese.
  4. My father worked long hours when I was little so my mother was definitely the primary disciplinarian. Even when Dad was home he was much more laid back. I am definitely stricter than dh but I am more consistent as well.
  5. The heat problems you mentioned in your attic made me think of a case someone told me about(in person and they were the homeowner) where an incompetent builder did not ventilate the attic at all. In case that is the case for you you might consider having a professional check the attic for proper ventilation. If there is a problem with that have it corrected and then go after your builder for reimbursement.
  6. Well, thanks to idiots releasing them where they don't belong there are pythons and boa constrictors in the Everglades. They did find a dead python that tried to eat an alligator too. There are plenty of alligators all along the Gulf Coast and in Florida. There are multiple types of poisonous snakes native to my area and we had to have our neighbor shoot a rattlesnake less than 100 feet from our back steps so I really can't talk too much about other areas.
  7. Dd had me print out the piano sheet music for Let it Go for her yesterday. This is the first time that she has specifically asked for the sheet music for a song.
  8. :lurk5: I am not looking forward to when dd9 starts developing.
  9. My father was given a yellow lab when he was living in a beach house. She was fairly easy to train but she did need alot of exercise. That was easy to handle at the beach since she loved to fetch balls and sticks that were thrown into the water.
  10. :lurk5: Dd likes it when I do clues for Easter presents.
  11. I wonder what impact the number of children who are not neurotypical nowadays has on this issue. When my dd was at her worst before wheat/gluten was removed from her diet a trip to something like The Land would have almost guaranteed an injury. On the other hand she was somewhat more careful when she was not aware of being supervised.
  12. If vosotros is present as plural, informal you(ya'll is the English word I was taught to substitute) that would be Castilian Spanish rather than Latin American Spanish. I think that there are other differences as well but I don't remember them.
  13. We were recently at an event that we go to annually and dd had trouble recognizing people that she has been around in the past. I also had trouble with this in the past. I always thought I had missed some developmental window due to a very late diagnosis of severe myopia. What helped me was learning how to draw faces.
  14. Can I post and have ya'll talk dd down the next time she starts whining that she wishes it would snow?
