Lite school yesterday - read alouds, calendar and how's the weather. Today - calendar/weather, audiobooks, phonics lesson/her read to me and practice writing.

Good Morning, super busy today. Most of the day is away from home. Can do audiobooks in the car and spell cvc words orally. Later today she can read to me and maybe some math if she is up to it.

DH let me sleep in and woke up early with DD5. He made cereal and they watched cartoons and played legos. Later we had brunch and he made us ham & cheese omelette. DH doesn't eat breakfast on work days. Just when he is home. Me sometime I have breakfast sometimes no. Just whats available.

Good Afternoon, Dd5-done already- some read alouds, learning the name of the states, calendar, weather and practiced writing. Need to do phonics/her read to me and some math.

Winter is when I plan to do the most schooling with her. Having to be indoors due to bad weather, you have to do something. Teach her to cook and bake during this time also. DD5 but wants to do it all. During spring and summer school will be lighter because she will get a lot more outside time.

For DD5- just started Horizon Math K workbook 1. She likes it but says it's too easy and it is. She knows about 85% of the stuff in the book. She says she likes easy so she will finish this. Workbook #2 will be delivered tomorrow. I hope it will be more challenging. It's colorful and the lessons are short. Which is a plus for her age. Taking the placement test put her in this, so we will see. Phonics- Reading Made Easy with Blend Phonics and Phonics Pathways. I like both. She has a wipe and clean book for practicing her numbers plus her math book practices that as well. It works when she is interested. Her letters she practice's those on the white board. It works.

Glad to hear the boys are better. Hope you feel better soon and that it's just a sore throat. Today- calendar and weather (done daily), read alouds, audio books and she reads to me (also daily). If she want to do more school stuff today then we will. Daddy got her Legos this week and she is hooked. Picked up a new one this morning and she is working on it now. Not fond of books on screen. I prefer real books. I feel real books are important for my little one and she will be using those for a long time over ebooks. We actually use audio books a lot. I prefer hearing the books. For my voice sake my daughter listens to a lot of stories. Dad and I read real books to her daily. DD5.

I'm a private person and an introvert. So to me it feels like they are invading my privacy. Even though in my state I just have to send in the name of my school and the record holders name, just once. I must also have 186 days of school per year minimum. Once DD5 hits high school they do have graduation requirements. My "feelings" aside, I "think" my states regulations are fair.

DD5 got me up super early today and both of us are really cranky. She did a little bit of school soon after waking up. Calendar/weather Audio books Horizon Math Arts, crafts and story time at the library.

How long did the Doctor say recovery should take? Did the Doctor mention anything about school work? I would cancel all writing, for the time being.
