  1. DD5 got me up about 230 this morning. She isn't sick just not tired anymore. She won't go back to sleep and all she wants is to wake/keep me and DH up. DH has a 12 hr shift in a few hours. So I'm up. It's my busy day today. Drop DH at work Grocery shop at multiple stores Story time at the library Lunch with Daddy I don't know about school today Make dinner and pick Daddy up from work tonight.
  2. You could try Bedtime Math books. It's in story form. There are other living math books out there too.
  3. Sorry Critter, hope they feel better soon. DD5- Calendar, weather, read alouds, audiobooks, coins (value and name) and Horizon Math. Poem memorization. -Done Need-Alphabet Fluency and her reading to me. Phonics lesson. Practice writing.

  6. Talk to her and review curriculum together to see if anything is a good fit. That's what I would do. Writing workshop is also a good option. I would show her the options and see what she was interested in doing.
  7. Afterschool special for us kids but mostly when we got home it was on game shows or soap operas our Mom was watching.

  10. DD5 hasnt started kindergarten, yet. Just getting ready
  11. Christianbooks.com till tomorrow is having a sale on AOPS math curriculum. I got Horizon Math K workbook one for $19.96. No shipping or sales tax. So I decided to get the second workbook also. I didn't buy the teacher's guide.

  13. DH working today. To cold to let DD outside (in the negatives numbers today). Calendar work/weather Read alouds and she reads to me Math Alphabet fluency (lower case cursive) Poem and Bible verse memory Alphablocks (phonics program) Map of the state's puzzle. Teaching her state names.
  14. It warmed up, so I let DD5 go play in the snow. DD and I trying together to find and assemble all her puzzles. Missing a lot. Haven't gotten to cleaning her room yet.

Scishow Kids videos on the moon. Bake cookies with DD5. Her Horizon Math K comes in this week. She loves math and workbooks. I'm just worried that she will fly though it. I will also using Ray's Arithmetic 1st book for add/sub sections.

  18. Done with school today. DD5 I read/she read. Reviewing cvc words and alphabet fluency. Some math, her calendar and practice writing her numbers
  19. It was icey and snowing for us yesterday. When hubby left for work, before sunrise, there was still ice in a lot of areas. So he took the car. Its single digit temp with subzero windchill. Not taking my little one out in that. Unless I have no choice. Usually Friday is grocery shopping time but will order pizza for dinner and go shopping after hubby comes home. He usually does bedtime. Walmart tomorrow No story time at library for us today. DD5 doing arts and crafts while listening to audio books. Also lots of free play. Board games Plus some school stuff Vacuum

  22. Do you feel the teachers guide is a must have for the kindergarten books? Money is really tight and I don't want to waste it if I don't have too.
