  1. MAB is going to be very dependent of where she is in the country and if she's been vaccinated. The restrictions are very tight in most states, to the point there is even a question if I could get it being severely immunocompromised because I've been vaccinated. Here in Michigan unvaccinated are priority now. According to the list I should be tier 1A, but boots on the ground, my doctors don't think they can get it. I'm not allowed inside anywhere but the hospital and home.
  2. I would switch to a nebulizer as well so I could divide out the albuterol PRN. Percussion and if unable to get someone to do it then shower with massage shower heads a few times a day.
  3. There are studies showing covid may worsen sleep apnea, as well as those with it may have worsening disease process. I would follow-up with the doctor.
  4. I am so sorry. I hope their conditions improve.
  5. I am so glad to see the positive updates and hope the trend continues. Don't forget to take care of yourself.
  6. Yes, very interested. EBV is maintained in b cells. I'm hoping this is an indication that insurance companies will start covering b cell depleting drugs more readily. It's a huge fight to get them now.
  7. Paxlovid is being regulated the same way as MAB in Michigan. Good luck unless you’re unvaccinated.
  8. Camilla married her 1st husband after Charles went into the navy. She married first. How did the Queen not allow them to marry? (I’m not up on all the Royal drama I guess. 🙂)
  9. @FaithManorThat is the way prioritization is happening in Michigan as well. Un-vaccinated qualify over immune-compromised vaccinated and boosted. My biggest concern with Omicron over Delta was the inability to get MAB. My doctors went back and forth over the booster based on criteria. In the end I got it. 🤞 OP, I hope you see improvements quickly.
  10. Yep, great analogy. DH got a notice right before he headed to work that another co-worker tested positive. I'm so grateful the company has given them n95's, but they still have to eat in the same room they've spent 12 hours in with another person, and people coming in and out randomly.
  11. I found this https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/disinfect-clean-n95-mask-virus-coronavirus/ OP, I would talk to the cardiologist, ours encouraged my DS13 at the time to get the vaccine based on his cardiac status.
  12. Something was triggered somewhere because my husbands company (electrical grid) suddenly brought back a mask mandate and require KN95's that they are supplying with strict indoor protocols. 👏 Now if they can only keep it through this surge.
  13. I'm so sorry the new year isn't starting out any better. Sending lots of positive thoughts that you stay healthy and this passes quickly for GS.
  14. I am beginning to wonder about this. I tried day 1 of the challenge and needed up with terrible nausea and numbness /tingling in my head. Can you share your symptoms?
  15. How can they not keep kids in school from an economic standpoint? The states are going to deny it because they're already dealing with workforce shortages. If you send kids home you are dealing with those parents that are then removed from the workforce to care for them. This is no longer about individual or public health, but it's impact on the economy and societal function, and that's really sad.
  16. Last year everyone wanted schools open, in-person, no mask, no social distancing, and went to bat at every school board meeting fighting for that scenario with the argument that covid doesn’t severely impact kids. That hasn’t changed. Sadly, parents are getting what they asked for. My kids have been shielding and virtual for almost two years so I can make my appointments. I sincerely hope you are able to make yours.
  17. I managed 111 books out of the 110 I challenged myself too, so I'm sticking with that number for next year. I can always go over right? I'm not making any huge plans other than to try and follow along with some of the mystery challenges this year. I wrapped the year up with the Starship's Mage Series by Glynn Stewart. Not on par with the other space operas I've read recently, but exactly what I needed around the holidays. I'm not sure I like where things are going with the last few books, as I don't care for the new main character, but there have been enough of the old to keep me reading.
  18. This might be good for me to step outside my comfort zone. I don’t tend to read mystery novels.
  19. I do not do well with them either. I'm just a pencil and paper person. 🙂
  20. My new favorite is the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner. I bought a bundle so I have the home planner, stickers, and the pocket calendar for my purse. I also am trying the money planner this year in digital format that I printed and put in a binder. I've used Plum Paper and a Erin Condren, but they would go by the wayside quickly and ended up being a waste of money. I went through them before I decided to buy another planner to see what I used. I bought the digital edition and trialed it for the month of December before I bought my physical planner. The check boxes resonate with me and keep my motivated. I keep mine on my counter on a bamboo stand which I think helps because I spend most of my day in that area of the house. I use white out tape and change what I want on the checklists, and there is plenty of room to customize. One DS is using the digital program in Goodnotes, and my other DS has the kids school planner for this year in a digital format that he is printing and keeping on a clipboard each week. It depends on what type of person you are, what works for you. I've now gotten familiar enough that I recruit the kids to help complete the check boxes each day that I add to the list.
  21. I'm glad to see the positive updates. I hope they continue and that your Dad is more comfortable.
  22. I have to wonder. I keep hearing from people in SA online saying the majority of people aren't testing, that it's too expensive.
  23. Many hugs. My nephew has evacuated and my sister, BIL, and my daughter are on standby. Be safe!
