MomOfABunch
My 9yo has decided to speak with an Australian accent. We’ve never even been to Australia! History read aloud was interesting today! What wacky thing did your kid do today!?!?! 2
fairfarmhand
That’s awesome. I want to learn to speak with a British accent. My kids are preparing themselves to be fully humiliated when I’m older.
Rosie_0801
Oh yeah? Youtube clip so we Aussies can evaluate his technique!

My kids are preparing themselves to be fully humiliated when I’m older. There was a program offered at a library near us called “Improve Your English Accent”. Dd and I were both disappointed to find that it was for non-native English speakers. I strongly feel that it was false advertising and should have been called “Improve Your American English Accent”. We really wanted to improve our English accents! 2
MEmama
Mine spells like a Brit. Granted, he learned to spell when we lived in Canada, but it's as much a statement for him as it is habit. Last year his teachers let him get away with it (when questioned by one, he explained having lived up there and it turned out his teacher was from nearby, so he let it slide. Lol). I'm curious what they will say this year. ? (He also changes the keyboard on the iPad which explains why my spelling here varies).

itsheresomewhere
Mine is speaking like Danny DeVito this week. Last week, it was Pee Wee Herman. He likes to learn voices.
RootAnn
Well, one of my kid's stuffed animals sent me a protest email in the form of a formal argumentative essay. It was enlightening because that particular kid doesn't talk much, so it was nice to hear from the stuffed animals' kid.

SKL
One of my kids wants to make everything about Listerine this week. Don't ask me why. We don't even use Listerine. Last night she was supposed to design an ad for a bank, and she wanted to name the bank Listerine Something-or-other. I kinda hope this is a short-lived kick.
