Heather in Neverland
There was a HUGE thread about it when it came out in the theaters. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19961&highlight=expelled+stein
OnTheBrink
Haven't seen it, but want to!

Julie in Austin
I wrote about it here; my comments are directed at an LDS audience but I think they are equally applicable to anyone who thinks that God is the creator. http://www.timesandseasons.org/?p=4537

Jill- OK
...into 'issue' films (produced to make a particular point for a particular political or social bent)...but I'll make an exception for Ben Stein. :001_smile: I picked it up a day or so ago, but haven't watched it, yet. Obi-Mom Kenobi
you shouldn't say anything at all, right? Therefore, I must remain steadfastly silent. Let's just say that I wasn't the target audience.
Chris in VA
I have it on my counter from Red Box to watch tonight. We'll see. I love Ben Stein, but I'm not very good at finding logical fallacies--should have paid more attention when we did Fallacy Detective!:D
mcconnellboys
I liked it. I didn't think it was the most high tech film, but it was okay. It gave me great leads to books like Into the Cosmos and to the film Privileged Planet, which I'd already been hearing about. There are some great physicists and at least one philosopher interviewed in it. I really think that philosophy and physics will have to come together for answers about creation to begin to be answered someday.... I actually thought for a brief moment that Richard Dawkins actually showed a little humanity and humility in it. Silly me. I went to his website with the intention of commending him, but after reading the scathing comments by him that included his usual round of name calling (we're all complete idiots if we hold opinions differing from his own, you know), I changed my mind.... kat19
I haven't read the other responses but Netflix has it on the Instant Watch. I haven't seen it yet, but I have it saved and ready to watch anytime.
Jennifer in NH
I watched it last week. i found it a little dry, but on the whole interesting. I think Ben stein did a good job. I would highly recommend it to anyone with an open enough mind.
