BlsdMama Posted February 23, 2017 Share Posted February 23, 2017 Backstory: DS knew where he was going, his major, etc. We filled out the FAFSA in October (OCTOBER!) and had it sent. Per the website it had to be received by December 1. My duh moment came when we were told he missed out on a scholarship because his app wasn't in until mid December. Our family had been pretty busy - medically I was going through a lot of tests and medical expenses.I sent documentation and asked them to please reconsider him the scholarship. Thank you Lord. They did look at him again and DID give him the specific scholarship. $3,000 per semester - $6k. And even more importantly, it is renewing. So, if he had not gotten it this year, he would not be eligible in successive years, but because he did, assuming he will continue to meet criteria (GPA) he will receive it for all four years. :)My happy Thursday story! 38 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
