dovrar
Hello all, I am looking for shoes for my toddler with fat feet. I'd love to hear some suggestions of brands from all of you that make a soft shoe big enough for my 17 mo. old. and are affordable. I've seen the soft star shoes, and that's the kind of thing I'm looking for, but just can't justify $50 for shoes that may only be worn for a month. Thanks for your help, Debbie
bluemongoose
I had boys with fat feet. I liked see kai run. If you get them in the clearance, they are usually about $25. They have soft leather soles for beginning walkers and also rubber soles that are super flexible for outside walking.
happypamama
I've used Robeez for all my babies/young toddlers, and they run more like $20-25. I've gotten several months of wear out of one set of them.
melbotoast
I think they have the Robeez at Target.
shawthorne44
Have you looked at swim shoes? You can buy them bigger and the extra length curls up in the front.
ktgrok
I actually really liked the payless brand ones. The ones in the yellow box..I think they say smart fit on them. Not the character ones, those were hard and inflexible. But the smart fit ones are very soft and flexible, and although the sizing is wonky (have to go down in size I think...trying to remember), they worked out really really well for all my kids. monstermama
Crocs (affordable on sale/clearance) or New Balance (not affordable, lol) are the only ones that have fit my wide-footed boy.
vonfirmath
We used Stride Rite shoes purchased at an outlet. THey are expensive, yes. But we only once had them grow out at 3 months after we got them and we had to replace too many shoes before that that didn't really fit wide feet well. MercyA
My favorite brands for kids with wide feet are New Balance, Stride Rite, Jumping Jacks, and Buster Brown (no longer being made, I think). Alas, none of them are cheap. :(
caedmyn
Last time I checked there were a few sellers on ebay with sizes of soft soled Robeez type shoes up to 5T, and prices around $20 for them (this was a couple years ago though). TABmom
My 2 year old has been wearing crocs for quite awhile- he loves that he can put them on himself and they don't come off, even when he's running or jumping on the trampoline. And I think they would be good for fat feet!
Desert Strawberry
I ordered Sagg's baby shoes from One Step Ahead. They had slippers with rubbery soles that I liked for him. My other kids have small feet.
