Moxie
It was a woman who asked you about a happy time in your life. Then she used a giant color wheel based on that time (like a trip to Hawaii) to decorate a room. Anyone remember the name?
Storygirl
Yes I remember that. And no, I can't remember the name. Now I want to know!

elegantlion
Is it Colour Confidential? that's the one I'm thinking of, but I think it was called Get Color in the US. http://www.tv.com/shows/get-color/
skeeterbug
I also think it was Get Color...the pic at the top of this article seems familiar. http://www.hgtv.com/design/decorating/color/jane-lockhart-talks-color-tips
mathnerd
The designer was called Jane Lockhart - I loved an episode where she brought out a lot of brightly colored food on her color wheel.
aggie96
It was Jane Lockhart with Get Color. I loved that show. I painted my first ceiling a color other than white (10 years ago now!) because of that show. I've never gone back to white. I also learned about the complimentary colors, etc, and have used the same thought processes for every paint job in a home since then. I have also employed the idea of sticking to 3 (sometimes 4) main colors in a room and tying everything to that Good stuff! :)
Guest
Yes, it was Get Color! I loved that show! Off to check YouTube for old episodes. Thanks!
Ellie
Ah, yes...the good ol' days of HGTV. Now we get marathons of Sell This House and Property Brothers and all that stuff. ::heavy sigh::

Guest
I still miss Trading spaces. Until it got weird and stupid. Why not just show nice rooms that inspire normal people?!? No one in the world wants hay glued to their wall.
Ellie
No one in the world wants hay glued to their wall. Or big paper flowers stapled to the bathroom wall... or cardboard furniture...and please, please, please don't touch the fireplace...
Guest
In their defense, that solid red fireplace was really ugly!
Tammyla
I remember a wall covered in feathers. Blech :001_tt2: I'm totally allergic and that show just geeved me out.
Jaz
I remember a wall covered in feathers. Blech :001_tt2: I'm totally allergic and that show just geeved me out. And the moss wall...I always cringed when that designer (Hillary?) was on the show.
Ellie
And the moss wall...I always cringed when that designer (Hillary?) was on the show. It was Hildi Santo Tomas. She and Doug were the most likely to have, um, awkward designs.
