I'm sure Ellie will be back after whatever hefty responsibilities of her own are done keeping her away.  Perhaps she's filming more hulas for us!

*GASP*  I just thought of it -- maybe she's filming a Scottish fighting corp doing a Tonga dance!

I'd best go to bed now.  I fell asleep in the car on the way over to DH's folks' house for supper.  I have reached the age where I think afternoon naps are the bomb....

(To be truthful, pregnancy and parenting young children convinced me of the value of naps for everyone years ago!)

OKay, one more before bed.  Earlier I really showed my age to my kids.  I replied to something with "gag me with a spoon", and they had NO CLUE when or where that was from.  Now I must decide whether I really want to resurrect preppy pink and green, big hair, and "square pegs"....

I'm 5'10". And a half. Don't talk to me about finding clothes.

Dude! We are so besties now. Don't tell Quackers.

I heard that.

And NO.

It's like... launching missiles from a submarine. Both of us have to turn our keys.

{dang.  you won't get THAT reference, either; will you?  It amazes me what I tolerate from you.}

Well we still don't know about Dad's eye. We went to the specialist yesterday, and the pressure in his eye was so high, he had to be sent to the ER for an IV. After an hour they checked again, it was some lower, and they sent him home with some oral meds to help reduce pressure. He has to be back at the eye specialist this morning. My DH is taking him. If the pressure is still high they may have to do surgery. DH has to work tonight so he may have to come home, and I will go. It is an hour and 45 minutes one way.

Also the twins have been sick. It started as stopped up noses and progressed. Tuesday night their fevers were around 102.3.  So far fever is down, but they are really  congested and have sore throats.

Art supplies; so they called me last week and said the kits would be on back order until May 15, and asked if I wanted to cancel. I told them no, we would wait. So the next day, actually less than 24 hours, it ships out, complete. The package arrived Monday, and everything was good. I am happy with it, but just found it strange about the back-order call, and then it ships.

I didn't sleep well last night, so I hope some of this makes sense. :D

Yay, Ellie's back!  They didn't like my military service Tonga video links as much as your hula video links.  I'm glad you are back to fill the need, because I just couldn't live up to the challenge.

Just you remember who overthrew whom on this thread, Former Queen Slache.  Revisit post #355 if you've forgotten so quickly.

And I will NOT post a you tube of Taylor Swift's Blank Space in response, but only because I like Ellie and I don't want her to pass out.    :svengo:

Oh: and 5'10" and a half???  Nice try.  We all know you're only 5'10".    (citing YOU, Post #298).

Umm, Quackers...do you think, maybe, perhaps...you're spending a bit too much time here?  Where exactly are the ducklings, anyway?

Good morning!!!!!

Today, as I have for the last two days, I will be working with a couple of other people to organize the office of the music director at my church. Bless his heart...he inherited a boatload of files and stuff and has not had the time to go through everything, and it's kind of scarey in there. Truth be told, he shouldn't have to organize the office. He should have an admin, even if it's a volunteer and not an employee. I have, of course, volunteered. :-)

Y'all are 11 inches taller than I.

I'd say you should grow Marge hair but unfortunately growing hair isn't one of your strong points.

I'm still queen. Ellie even admitted it herself, but unlike some people I have a life and don't have time to look for it. BOOYA!  :coolgleamA:

And yeah, I'm 5'10 1/2". I just don't always mention the half because it's not always there. I wonder where it goes...

Friends, I went up to check on the kittens earlier and one had suddenly passed away.  :(  I know this happens, but it made everyone very sad.  We had a kitten funeral and buried him/her under the rosebush.  After some discussion, we named the kitten Precious because every living thing deserves a name.

Hee hee hee!  DD10 was just upstairs getting changed for Aikido.  She went to hang up an empty hangar, and when she came back her jacket and belt were no where to be seen.  She looked everywhere she just was, trying to find them, and then came to ask me for help.  It was only a very brief moment during which they disappeared, but they did so quite thoroughly!

I started to walk her through where she had just been, and we discovered them in the hamper, tossed in with the clothing she just changed out of.  Yes indeedy, my kid had a very definite face-palm moment!

Oooookay.  I googled that to go watch it.  Not one I'll share with the kids, but I do like what she did to his shirts.

   You lost your LIFE?

Funeral planning for Slash starts now!  What do you say, everyone, Irish wake?  New Orleans party after the burial?  We need a BIG send-off for our dearly beloved.

Sleep sweet, little Precious.  So sorry for everyone there.  Hugs to you all, including Mama and siblings.

Sorry to hear that. Losing an animal is always hard. We've adopted a bird whose mom never came back to the nest (we believe she got killed), and s/he passed after surviving the night. We've lost a couple of dogs (really, really), and a few fish. We will really break down when our older cat passes (hopefully not anytime soon).

I dunno, sounds like something a recently undead person might say to try to ward off suspicion.... :zombie:
