J-rap
A friend sent me a gift of a pie from a pie company. I immediately opened the box and put the pie in the fridge. Three days later, my friend emailed me and asked if I had gotten the "pies." Turns out there was a second pie underneath the first one! There was so much stuffing and foam peanuts in the box I had totally missed it! So, it was sitting on our back porch for 4 nights and 3 days. The temp was between 40 and 65. It wasn't a cream pie, so I'm thinking it might be okay...?
bibiche
Contact the company and ask them.
J-rap
That's a great idea -- thanks!
Iskra
The company would have to tell you no, to keep them from any liability. However, if the pie looks and smells ok, I would take 1 bite to make sure it tastes ok. If I am still feeling fine the next day I would eat one slice and wait one more day. After that I would feel safe for the whole family to eat it.

Tammi K
I would eat it. We never refrigerate pies. (unless they are cream based - which my family doesn't like - so I never make - so, like I said, We don't refrigerate pies. :tongue_smilie: )
zoobie
I don't refrigerate apple pies, so I'd keep it. The porch is colder than I keep my house.
happi duck
At the grocery store bakery they bake pies, put them in boxes that aren't tightly sealed and put them on the shelf. Inside a store is probably warmer than 65 and I'm sure they don't throw out unsold pies every day.

Liz CA
Apple Pie is always okay to eat. :) Seriously, at the temps you mentioned, I don't think it would be bad. Sniff test then taste test...

Chelli
My mom never refrigerated her apple pies. It sat on the counter and when we'd go by we'd sneak a bite or two until it was gone. Enjoy your pie!!!
