bnwhitaker
Are there good DVD's to teach letter sounds? or Phonics?
mo2
Leap Frog DVDs. Letter Factory is my favorite, then there's Talking Words Factory. Now there are some new ones, too, like Numberland, Phonics Farm, and Word Caper. Some are on Netflix as well.
plath
Yep, the Leap Frog Letter Factory dvds are great!
Arcadia
My kids watched the Leapfrog ones and they could sing "every letter makes a sound". They also enjoyed Reader Rabbit: The Alphabet Race.
Mommy Grommy
Another vote for Leap Frog Letter Factory! It's one of my 2.5 year-old daughter's favorites and has really helped her remember the letter sounds. It's crazy that a single video can be so effective! nrself
Add me to the list of fans too. My DS's loved the first video and learned all the sounds super quickly.

Lara in Colo
We really liked these--- and they were at our library http://www.rocknlearn.com/html/phonics_products.htm
Alte Veste Academy
The AAS phonogram cd is not high entertainment, LOL, but my DS7 loved it, and it was even more useful than the Leapfrog videos (which I also recommend).
KristenR
Yet another vote for Leap Frog. My girls love those. I tie in those and try to match up some fun free games from Starfall.com
Mom2TheTeam
Leap frog. My 5 year old basically refused to learn his letter and sounds. I was very frustrated. I saw this recommended by many and got it for him. Within a week he knew them all. I win!
HeatherDanae
Leap frog for sure!! All my kids knew most of their letters by 2.5yrs old because of those DVDs! Highly recommend!!

ilovemy6kids
Leapfrog and the Preschool prep series.
fourisenough
I spent most of a year teaching my oldest all the letter sounds (painstakingly, using Phonics Pathways). DD2 learned them by watching Letter Factory while I was pregnant with DD3, mostly while I was napping on the couch next to her. Though I'm not a big fan of the electronic babysitter, I have to say that I prefer method number 2!
Mommy22alyns
Leap Frog, hands down!

Arcadia
Though I'm not a big fan of the electronic babysitter, I have to say that I prefer method number 2! My younger repeated all the phonics from Leapfrog alphabet pal caterpillar which was given to him as a newborn present. He kept pressing all the toy caterpillar legs.
