Hi~ My boys use Bible.is for their bible reading, you can listen and follow along but they lose their spots. Does anyone know of a bible app that highlights as it is reading to help keep their spot. Is there any app that highlights while it reads? Thanks!! Sheri

Leapfrog and the Preschool prep series.

I will have 7 in school next year and 2 littles. What helped this year was to make a daily spreadsheet with every subject for every kid on it. I even have reading and crafts with my littles on it. Each kid has assigned chores on their spreadsheet and I have open spaces for additional chores that I want done that day. I started giving tickets this year to the younger ones and it has really helped. They are flying through their stuff. I had always had individual planners for each kid but this is easier to look at one sheet and see where everyone os for the day. We have piano and exercise on there too. Sheri

We just completed out homestudy and in our experierence it was NOT traumatizing to our kids. She was here for a few hours and talked to each one of my kids asked them a few questions how they felt about the adoption and how our family worked. THey may have been a little traumatized about my cleaning frenzy before she came, but the homestudy was gentle and family friendly. I will admit I was trying to coach my kids a little before she came, I was trying to get ds 3 to tell her his name when asked. He kept saying he was going to tell her his name was BUTT. Thankfully when she asked he got this huge grin on his face and told her his real name. Honestly I was worried because we have a large family and we homeschool but she was willing to work with us and our baby girl should be ours by christmas. Sheri

Hi~ I am so sorry you are going through this. No one can possibly know what it is like until you have been there. I have had it every time. My dds preschool teacher even called because she was concerned about my dd putting babies under her shirt and going into the bathroom and "coughing into the potty" Try the home health care route and have in home IV therapy. The IVs were the main thing that worked for me. I never had them at home, but I actually looked forward to being in the hospital because it was the only relief that I ever felt. Not to discourage you but mine lasted the whole time. I puked in labor and with one baby it lasted a week or so afterward. The Dr said that was because of all the hormones still in my body. Sheri

You can have an unlimited number of devices registered to your Itunes account and share all apps. We have 4 ipods and 2 ipads. Sounds like alot but I have 9 kids. Sheri

We have also been watching on the BBC on a proxy server. We have been talking about how different it is done there. There are no athlete stories so it is all sports. There are also a ton of sports we had no idea are in the olympics. We are currently watching Kayaking. Sheri

I love my IPAD. I have a 32 gb which is plenty of memory and WIFI only. There is WIFI at most places, a friend is getting the 3g one to use it in the car. WHen thinking about what to get I looked at apps and my music and photos to see how much memory I would need and where I would be using it, mostly at home and places like church who have free wifi. I went to the goodwill on the 1.49 day and bought the biggest picture frame that I could fine. I painted the frame black to match our dining room decor. I took out the picture covered it with fabric and then put it back under the glass. We just write in the glass. It matches and looks nice. I am so sorry that this happened to your little boy. We will be praying for him. THis happened to my dd when she was about 5 also. She only fell 2 stories so she was not hurt as badly as your son. This is very common. The ER docs told us that it happens on a regular basis. Sheri

Hi~ Can you make some suggestions on some activity books for our American History studies for next year. I am reading books with my k-6 kids next year and I know we will miss all the SOTW art and craft activities that we haver been doing. What have you done with your kiddies? CBD.com has free ebooks, their selection changes every day. I bought my dd a nook for christmas and have been checking almost every day since then and I have about 75 books for her. We also have downloaded ALOT of books from project gutenberg. I heard they were going to make a project gutenberg andriod app. I have not checked into this since I adobe digital editions works great for us right now. My dd has about 200 books on her nook and I have not paid for any of them. Sheri
