Tohru
I'm not sure. They both sound fine, but one looks weird when you write it out. For example: I still check my other account every so often I still check my other account ever so often Which statement is grammatically correct? StaceyinLA
Idk that it's necessarily grammatically correct, but the saying is, "Every so often," which, the way it's used, equates to saying, "Every now and then."

I probably would have known if you hadn't asked! Now I am second guessing myself. :tongue_smilie: I guess I'll wait around for the consensus. Cinder
Ever so often is a rather quaint way of saying frequently. Unless you live in the deep south. I've heard a lot of people say "ever so often" when they really mean "every so often."

ThatCyndiGirl
That doesn't make it correct. ;) Perhaps someone should let the "ever so often" crowd know that they mean frequently not INfrequently. (Much like the "I could care less" when they must mean that they couldn't care less.)
