Starting to push the envelope here.

There have been similar experiments with chicken embryo where there is a belief that scientists may reach back to prehistoric eras and pull dormant genes that do things like give chickens large teeth.

:ack2::eek: I hate ants at the est of times, they give me the willies. If I saw those supersoldiers milling around I would be running away screaming like a little girl

....but.....but your avatar is shooting a machine gun!!!

Of course guns don't work very well against ants, now flame throwers....

If you read to the end, it turns out the super soldiers DO occur in nature. They're rare, but not unknown. Of course, scientists find the hormone that induces a larva to develop into a rare super soldier isn't quite as catchy a headline.

Of course it is not as catchy, but it is still extremely interesting.
