PeterPan
Am I the last person to know about this? It's very compelling. http://www.bju.edu/news/2011-09-06-student-video.php?utm_source=News-Events&utm_medium=RSS&utm_content=homepage&utm_campaign=RSS-News I think that link will work. BatmansWife
Wow. That was a really good video. And, no....you are not the last to know about this. I didn't know either. Steve is one lucky guy. Poor Tom. It's really heartbreaking. :crying: I'm sure Steve's son got the highest grade for his video assignment. Thank you for sharing this. bookfiend
We were fortunate to have this gentleman speak at our church last year. He has a compelling testimony.

Aelwydd
I'm really glad and relieved that neither Mr. Schreibner, or his wife, waxed on about he was "spared" by God's mercy, or whatever. He simply attributed is survival to "God's providence" as to why he is still alive, instead of perishing like so many others that day. Denisemomof4
I can't watch it tonight but will hopefully remember to tomorrow. I started to play it and when I saw which flight it was, I stopped. I just want to say that THAT was the flight my family almost ended up on. We were to choose from one of three weeks to go to HI with my parents. They were there for all three weeks, and we almost chose the last week to visit. That exact flight would have had all my family members on it, dh, the kids and I, had we stuck to the original plan of the last flight. We would all be dead today. Then my grieving friend, who is like a brother to me for 29 years now, would be grieving the loss of me and my family....... along with his sister and nephew. :crying: I can't imagine what it would have been like to know my dh and all three of my kids (we hadn't adopted yet) were all going to die with me in a matter of seconds. To see my kids faces...... My friend watched the attacks happen from his office window. He frantically tried to reach his sister. He saw the planes hit, he saw the towers collapse. A piece of him died that day, and he'll never be as happy as he once was. I hate 9/11. :crying:

Lucy the Valiant
They showed this video in my church this morning. Amazing. And well done, on the videographer's part. I, too, appreciated the speaker's humble approach.

BarbecueMom
You know, I read a homeschooling article about this family many years ago, and I was wondering what happened to the family. In fact, I almost asked on here if anyone knew them and how they were doing. Amazing and tragic story.
