tntgoodwin
On Thursday Aug 11, the following choice presents itself: 8:30 ET - Dallas Cowboys 1st preseason game (against the Denver Broncos). 8 CT - GOP Primary debate I would watch either online, which should I pick? CarenM
Neither lol I can't stand watching either one anymore. I guess if I had to pick one.......nope, I just couldn't. I used to be a football fan but the salaries and endorsements etc turned me off big time and politics...well, I just can not stomach them anymore. Sorry I am of zero help
LittleIzumi
The debate will have more carnage. :tongue_smilie:
JudoMom
I'd vote for both. The Broncos are supposed to be pretty bad this year (I don't know about the Cowboys, but they weren't exactly fabulous last year), so if I were a fan of either team I would have them in one window and turn on the debate in the other. I'd keep an eye on the game while listening to the debate.
eternalknot
I vote neither. I bet Kindergaten Cop is available on Netflix instant download, why not lose two hours of your life to that instead?
Margo out of lurking
I've been a long time Bronco hater since back in the early Elway days, around the time Wade Phillips left. I vote for SpongeBob. It will be more entertaining and longer-lasting implications.
KellyGirl
I would say football wins every time (at least this early in the election season)...but it's the Cowboys, who I hate with a passion... but I guess football still wins, I'd just have to cheer for the other team. MariannNOVA
Given the choices (and we are fans of the Boys here), I voted for the football. At least they can actually beat the stuffing out of each other instead of standing there attemtping to spar verbally.
Audrey
The debate, obviously. The Broncos don't count as football.

Mommy22alyns
I say take in a good game of baseball instead. It's actually relevant this time of year! :tongue_smilie:
Nakia
True Blood and Braking Bad are on tonight... need I say more? Oh my... that's a bit big. No complaints here. :thumbup1::001_wub::001_tt1::svengo::drool5:
elegantlion
Jenny, make sure Nakia sees that. I vote for Burn Notice then Suits. They're on Thursday. Football, political debate, it's pretty much the same isn't it? Men wearing their pants just a tad too tight, getting their panties in a wad over some ball that they're trying to get from the other guy. Dodging, punting, off sides, penalty flags. You know politics might be more interesting if they were officiated like the NFL.

Disney Dreaming
Not a Cowboys fan here(Atlanta Falcons fan) but I voted football. You can get plenty of info on the debate on Friday. But then my choice has already been made on who I will vote for in the primary.:001_smile:

MamaJo
Football. No question.
Kathleen in VA
Not the football - Redskins fan here. I'd just check the scores later to confirm Dallas lost.:D Not the debate. Politicians never answer the questions they're asked - EVER!! They always look right through the moderator and recite their canned spiel. (Doesn't matter which party they're representing.) I suggest the 6-part Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle.
TheReader
Well, if the football was anyone BUT the cowboys, I'd say go for the football. But since it is that team of all teams (really, my opinion of you just fell through the floor...you poor thing, caring about dallas' preseason games.....), definitely skip it. Unless of course they will get stomped, trampled, run over, etc. in which case -- watch. Watching dallas lose is quite fun! ;-) So, yeah, the GOP debate, unless you expect dallas to lose and will be pulling for Denver. In which case, you can watch that. tntgoodwin
Since I am working, turns out I won't watch either live. :(
