Dianne-TX
I'm on a roll tonight... :) I had great help for the Betsy Tacy books, so here goes another one... We are pretty picky and I am not wanting to get the regular Clue game for my kiddos. Is there an alternative game that is like Clue? My dc like mystery books like Boxcar Children and like to find out "who-dunnit", so I think they would like a mystery type game. I thought I saw an alternative version last year at Mardel's, but I didn't see it this year or find it doing a google search. Any ideas? babysparkler
Our family likes Spy Alley and Scotland Yard (if you can find it cheaper than this link!)

Crimson Wife
My 8 y.o. loves The Secret Door. It's a co-operative board game and the goal is to figure out which treasures are hidden before time is up and the thieves get away.
6packofun
2 others that we've considered from Rainbow Resource are Sleuth and Simply Suspects: http://www.rainbowresource.com/prodlist.php?sid=1292120245-14182&subject=19&category=3503&pg=4&pg=5 Also, the Secret Door Game is one that is cooperative so everyone solves the mystery together! Farrar
If you have younger kids, we have a card game called Sherlock where the goal is to remember all the clues. It's pretty simple, but my kids are 6 and we still enjoy it. It was, in fact, purchased when they were on a mystery kick.

Kareni
My 8 y.o. loves The Secret Door. It's a co-operative board game and the goal is to figure out which treasures are hidden before time is up and the thieves get away. I like this one, too. I've also seen but not played Alibi; it looks appealing but I believe it is geared for ages 10 and up. Regards, Kareni
tammyw
I know this is an older thread, but I was searching for reviews on Clue and found this thread. I was looking up games on Amazon and came across a Harry Potter Clue game. Sounds interesting for my Harry Potter loving children! Has anyone played it? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019L7SEK/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER Edited March 17, 2011 by tammyw
