BikeBookBread
This was posted on Tim Challies this morning. It seems to me this link has been posted before, but just in case it hasn't, here is a nice virtual Friday trip around the world... TravelingChris
It reminds me that we need to take some field trips. Yes, it is harder as my children are older but some field trips is what we need.
Rebecca VA
Wow. Most of them rival cathedrals. It amazes me how clean and sweet-smelling books stay in those lovely places. I was in a library once at the Pilgrim Museum in Plymouth, and there were books there that were hundreds of years old. The room smelled wonderful, not musty at all. MamaT
There is nothing like a beautiful library. The most beautiful one I have seen IRL: http://gosoutheast.about.com/od/photoswebcamspodcasts/ig/Biltmore-House-Photo-Gallery/The-Library-at-Biltmore-House.htm I wanted to hide and get locked in overnight. KidsHappen
Bestill my heart. I honestly have to say these are some of the most breathe taking places I have ever seen. Attach a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room - perhaps a small cottage on the premisis and this is my idea of a perfect home. :001_wub:
KC in KS
How gorgeous! Just told DH that when I die, he can bury me in any one of these places, and I *promise* not to haunt him --- I'll be too busy reading!

Lisa in Jax
It was part of a tour of Trinity College. I'm a fan of architecture, and I love books -- and I expected to love it. Even with an expectation of "wonderfulness," it was more than I ever expected. The smell of old leather, row after row of books older than old... AMAZING. Momling
I went to Yale and studied in Sterling library every day... there's something really special about being in a 'cathedral' type library.
KnitWit
I really enjoyed this. Thank you! :)
ElizabethB
Wow, those were cool! It's not beautiful, but the library in the town where I grew up is built over the river, it's very unique: http://allaboutrenton.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/p4041608.jpg
