Most beautiful libraries in the world...

Recommended Posts

Wow. Most of them rival cathedrals.

It amazes me how clean and sweet-smelling books stay in those lovely places. I was in a library once at the Pilgrim Museum in Plymouth, and there were books there that were hundreds of years old. The room smelled wonderful, not musty at all.

It was part of a tour of Trinity College. I'm a fan of architecture, and I love books -- and I expected to love it.

Even with an expectation of "wonderfulness," it was more than I ever expected. The smell of old leather, row after row of books older than old... AMAZING.
